Steven Sherlock
Steven Sherlock (born 28 March 1997) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Senior Championship club St Finbarr's and is a former member of the Cork senior football team. He usually lines out as a left corner-forward. Career Sherlock first came to Gaelic football prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the St Finbarr's club. After making his senior team debut in 2015, he was part of the club's Munster Club Championship-winning team in 2022. Sherlock first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Cork minor football team in 2015 before later lining out in the 2016 All-Ireland under-21 final defeat by Mayo. He played League and Championship for the Cork senior football team across 2018 and 2019, but was among a small cohort of players cut from then manager Ronan McCarthy's squad at the end of the latter season. Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament which began in season 1970–71. It is the top-tier competition for the senior football clubs of Ireland and London. The current champions are Kilcoo of Down who defeated Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin on 12 February 2022 to win their first title. The current trophy is the Andy Merrigan Cup, named after a footballer who played for Castletown Liam Mellows and Wexford who died as a result of a farm accident at the height of his playing career. The Munster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The 2021–22 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 51st staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club football tournament. It was the first club championship to be organised in two years as the 2020-21 championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship was the inaugural staging of the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship and the 132nd staging overall of a championship for the top-ranking Gaelic football teams in Cork. The 2019 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 131st staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 15 January 2019. The championship began on 18 March 2019 and ended on 27 October 2019.
