Steven Rooke is an Australian actor who has performed on stage, in films and television. Education Rooke graduated from Noosa District State High School in 1996, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) from the Queensland University of Technology in 2000. Career Rooke joined theatre company ''Shake and Stir'' as a Masterclass instructor. Noosa District State High School
Noosa District State High School is a twin campus high school based in Cooroy and Pomona in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. The school was established in 1963, and as of 2016, had 1335 students. It is the longest-established secondary school in Noosa area. The school has two campuses in Cooroy and Pomona. The Pomona Campus was originally the Cooroora Secondary College before the two schools merged. Years 7–8 are taught at the Pomona campus, while Years 9–12 are taught at the Cooroy campus. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a public research university located in the urban coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Matilda Awards
The Matilda Awards are awards which recognise excellence in cabaret, dance, theatre, and performance in southeast Queensland. History Established in 1987 by Alison Cotes and Sue Gough, the awards are an annual event held in February or March. The awards are voted by a panel of industry personnel and critics and membership of the panel has changes over time. In 2012 Silver and Gold Matilda statuettes were introduced, awarded for either a single work or a body of work over time. There were five Gold Awards each year but in 2015 only one was awarded as a result of industry advice. In 2013 the Award for the Best Emerging Artist was changed to Bille Brown Award for Best Emerging Artist, named after the late actor. ''The Voyage of the Dawn Treader'' is a high fantasy novel for children by C. S. Lewis, published by Geoffrey Bles in 1952.
