St Peter's Cathedral, Adelaide
St Peter's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Adelaide and Metropolitan of the Province of South Australia. The cathedral, a significant Adelaide landmark, is situated on approximately of land at the corner of Pennington Terrace and King William Road in the suburb of North Adelaide. The south front has similar features to the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Church of St Jean-Baptiste de Belleville in Paris, including an ornate rose window above the main entrance which depicts stories of South Australia and the Bible. Foundation and construction The See of Adelaide was constituted in June 1847. As there was no cathedral, Trinity Church on North Terrace was denoted as the ''pro tempore'' cathedral church. St Francis Theological College
Old Bishopsbourne is a heritage-listed house at 233 Milton Road, Milton, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Benjamin Backhouse and built from 1865 to 1959. It is also known as St Francis Theological College and Bishopsbourne. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. History This two-storeyed stone residence was constructed in 1865-68 for Edward Tufnell, the first Anglican Bishop of Brisbane (1860–74), as his See house. It remained the home of the Anglican primates of Brisbane until 1964. In 1862 Tufnell, on behalf of the Anglican Church, received from Emmeline Leslie a gift of of eucalypt woodland along the Milton Road. The site was earmarked for a See house. During a short sojourn in England, Tufnell raised for the Brisbane Diocese. Despite popular opposition to the expense, of this was spent constructing Bishopsbourne. David Richardson (priest)
David John Leyburn Richardson (born 14 March 1946) is an Australian Anglican priest, former cathedral dean and director of the Anglican Centre in Rome. Early life and ministry David Richardson was born in Townsville, Queensland, but spent most of his childhood in England in North Devon and then the Midlands where his father worked as a priest. He finished his schooling in Brisbane. After studying English literature at the University of Queensland, Richardson studied theology at St Barnabas College in Adelaide and then received his postgraduate diploma in pastoral theology at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Richardson remained in the United Kingdom and served a curacy at the Church of St Mary the Great, Cambridge, the civic and university church of Cambridge, while also serving as chaplain at Girton College at the university from 1976 to 1979. Sarah Macneil
Sarah Macneil (born 1955) is a retired Anglican bishop in Australia. She was the Bishop of Grafton in the Anglican Church of Australia. She was consecrated and installed as bishop on 1 March 2014, becoming the first woman in Australia to lead a diocese. Life and ministry Sarah Macneil was born and grew up in Canberra. She has been a life-long Anglican. Prior to being ordained as an Anglican priest, Macneil served as a diplomat. She worked in Australia and overseas in appointments with the Commonwealth Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Trade. She was the dean of St Peter's Cathedral, Adelaide, from 2009 to 2011 and served as an archdeacon in the Diocese of Canberra-Goulburn.
