Steven Nelson (rugby Player)
Steven Nelson (born January 22, 1993) is a former American football cornerback who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon State, and was drafted in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He has also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans. Early life Nelson attended Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. As a senior, he had seven interceptions on defense and seven punt return touchdowns. Also a track star at Warner Robins, Nelson had a best of 11.15 seconds in the 100 meters and was part of the 4x100 relay team that finished in first place in the county. College career Nelson attended the College of the Sequoias for two years, where he had 71 tackles and six interceptions. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. 2015 Senior Bowl
The 2015 Senior Bowl was an all-star college football exhibition game featuring players from the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season as well as prospects for the 2015 Draft of the professional National Football League (NFL). College of the Sequoias (COS) is a public two-year community college in Visalia, California. The college is named for the Giant Sequoia trees native to the nearby Sierra Nevada mountain range.
