Steven Kwok
Steven Kwok Wing-kin (; born 30 November 1986) is a Hong Kong politician and the chairman of the Labour Party since 2017. He is also a former member of the Tai Po District Council. Biography Kwok was educated at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and was the president of the Hong Kong University Students' Union and the chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hong Kong Federation of Students (HKFS). He ran in the "Five Constituencies Referendum" launched by the pan-democrats under the banner of " Tertiary 2012" in 2010. He ran in New Territories West against Albert Chan and received 6,192 votes, 4.6 percent of the vote. He became member of the Labour Party, a pro-democratic social democratic party established in 2011. He ran in the 2012 Legislative Council election with Fernando Cheung in New Territories East and helped Cheung to be re-elected. Labour Party (Hong Kong)
The Labour Party is a centre-left social democratic political party in Hong Kong established in 2011. The party was founded in 2011 by three veteran pro-democracy legislators to consolidate centre-left, pro-labour, pro-democracy voices in the legislature. Led by Lee Cheuk-yan, the long-time general secretary of the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions (HKCTU), the party won four seats in the 2012 Legislative Council election, with about six per cent of the popular vote, making it the third largest political party in the pro-democracy camp and sixth largest in the legislature. It suffered a big loss in the 2016 election with veterans Lee Cheuk-yan and Cyd Ho losing their seats, leaving the party only one representative in the legislature, Fernando Cheung in New Territories East. Hong Kong Free Press (HKFP) is a free, non-profit news website based in Hong Kong. It was co-founded in 2015 by Tom Grundy, who believed that the territory's press freedom was in decline, to provide an alternative to the dominant English-language news source, the ''South China Morning Post'', and to cover the pro-democracy movement. The Hong Kong Legislative Council members' oath-taking controversy was a series of events surrounding the oaths of office of a dozen pro-democracy and localist members-elect of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (LegCo) on 12 October 2016 which have resulted in the disqualification of six members, Sixtus "Baggio" Leung and Yau Wai-ching of Youngspiration, who were unseated by the court on 15 November 2016, and Leung Kwok-hung, Nathan Law, Yiu Chung-yim and Lau Siu-lai on 14 July 2017. Sixtus "Baggio" Leung Chung-hang (; born 7 August 1986) is a Hong Kong activist and politician. He is the convenor of Youngspiration, a localist political group in Hong Kong that leans towards Hong Kong independence, and is also leader and spokesperson of the pro-independence Hong Kong National Front. He was elected to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong as a member for New Territories East in the 2016 Hong Kong Legislative Council election.
