Steve Hayes (businessman)
Steve Hayes is an English businessman, and was the owner of Aviva Premiership rugby union side London Wasps. Originally a double glazing salesman, Hayes also worked for his father-in-law selling secondary mortgages. In 1997 with David Cowham he founded loans.co.uk, a Watford headquartered finance broker. Hayes became Chief Executive, expanding the firm to become the UK's then leading finance broker, on an earnings package of £5.5million in 2004/2005. In June 2005, Cowham and Hayes sold loans.co.uk to MBNA for an undisclosed amount, reported to be worth £50million to each partner. Hayes became a 25% shareholder through an initial £250,000 investment in Wycombe Wanderers in June 2004, when the football club became a plc, and later became managing director. Hayes bought an 11.6% stake in London Wasps Holdings Ltd in August 2007, and became chairman of Lawrence Dallaglio's benefit committee. Steven Leonard Hayes (born August 2, 1955) is a retired American basketball player and coach. He played for several years for a variety of teams in the National Basketball Association, as well as in the Continental Basketball Association and in Europe. He is also known for his standout college career at Idaho State University, where he is recognized as one of the best players in the school's history. College career Born in American Falls, Idaho, Hayes attended Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen. A center, he enrolled at Idaho State University in nearby Pocatello. As a freshman, Hayes averaged 9.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and was a valuable contributor to a Bengals team that went won a share of the Big Sky Conference title, and won a tiebreaker playoff game to earn a berth in the NCAA tournament. Steve Hayes is a retired American professional soccer player and college coach. He played professionally in the American Professional Soccer League and National Professional Soccer League. He spent his entire coaching career at Oral Roberts University. Player Hayes graduated from Memorial High School. He attended George Mason University, playing on the men's soccer team from 1986 to 1989. In the summer of 1989, Hayes played for the Tulsa Renegades in the Southwest Outdoor Soccer League. He tied for the top of the season assist list. In 1990, Hayes moved to the Washington Stars of the American Professional Soccer League. He finished his professional career with the Tulsa Ambush during the 1991–1992 National Professional Soccer League season. Cheshire Home Invasion Murders
On July 23, 2007, Steven Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky invaded the residence of the Petit family in Cheshire, Connecticut. Though initially planning only to rob the house, she and Komisarjevsky murdered Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her two daughters, 17-year-old Hayley Petit and 11-year-old Michaela Petit. Their father Dr. William Petit escaped with severe injuries. Upon entering the Petits' home, Komisarjevsky beat Dr. Petit with a baseball bat and the pair restrained him in the basement. Hawke-Petit and her daughters were also restrained. Hayes later kidnapped Hawke-Petit and forced her to withdraw money at a bank. After returning to the home, Hayes raped her and strangled her to death. Komisarjevsky raped 11-year-old Michaela. The invaders then decided to burn down the house to destroy evidence.
