Steve Wilson (director)
Steve Wilson is an independent television director, based in Seattle, Washington, USA. He also appeared on-air as a cast member of ''Almost Live!'' the hit sketch comedy show on KING-TV and Comedy Central during the 1990s. Wilson most recently directed ''Northwest Afternoon'' on KOMO-TV. He was also involved with the Public Broadcasting Service, PBS program ''The Eyes of Nye''. In late June 2005, Wilson appeared on ''Northwest Afternoon'', filling in for “Queen of Soaps” Cindi Reinhart. Wilson and his fellow cast-mates on ''Almost Live!'' often lampooned ''Northwest Afternoon''’s soap segments during the show's run (including a joke about Reinhart during the September 2005 reunion special). ''Almost Live!'' was a local sketch comedy television show in Seattle, Washington, USA, produced and broadcast by NBC affiliate KING-TV from 1984 to 1999. A re-packaged version of the show also aired on Comedy Central from 1992 to 1993, and episodes aired on WGRZ-TV and other Gannett-owned stations in the late 1990s. KING-TV
KING-TV (channel 5) is a television station in Seattle, Washington, United States, affiliated with NBC. It is owned by Tegna Inc. alongside Everett-licensed independent station KONG (channel 16). Both stations share studios at the Home Plate Center in the SoDo district of Seattle, while KING-TV's transmitter is located in the city's Queen Anne neighborhood. However, master control and some internal operations are based at the studios of sister station and fellow NBC affiliate WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Northwest Afternoon
''Northwest Afternoon'' (also known at times as NWA) was a local television talk show in the United States. It aired weekdays at 3PM in the Puget Sound area of Washington. It was produced locally by Seattle TV station KOMO-TV Channel 4, and debuted in September 1984. The series ended its run on September 5, 2008 after a run of nearly 24 years. Format The show's format, unchanged since its debut, began with a 15-minute daily recap of soap opera serials aired that day, with the last 45 minutes being a talk/variety-type show. In the latter portion of the show, subjects could vary from show to show. In one show, a famous TV, movie, or newsmaking celebrity may make an appearance as a special guest (usually discussing their latest work, etc.), while the very next day could focus on a guest who has survived against all odds. ''The Eyes of Nye'' is a science program that aired on public television in the United States in 2005 and featured Bill Nye. The show had an older target audience than its predecessor ''Bill Nye the Science Guy'', aimed more toward adults and teenagers than children. Margaret Larson
Margaret Larson (née Pelley; born February 24, 1958) is an American broadcast journalist and television presenter. Her most notable position was with NBC News. She worked as a foreign correspondent from 1990 to 1992 and news anchor from 1992 to 1994 on the ''Today'' show, later returning as a correspondent for ''Dateline NBC''. For her last decade in journalism, she spent time volunteering with international aid organization Mercy Corps and acting as a board member. After a brief stint at KIRO-TV in Seattle as an anchor, she moved to KING-TV in the mid-'90s. She left KING-TV to accept a full-time position as Vice President of Communications for Mercy Corps in 2002. Larson later left this position to become an independent contractor for international aid organizations in order to broaden her focus to Africa and HIV/AIDS issues.
