Steve Williams (keyboardist)
Steve Williams (born 20 October 1971) is a Welsh musician, keyboardist and main songwriter for British power metal band Power Quest and former member of DragonForce. Williams formed Power Quest in 2001 after leaving DragonForce (known at the time as DragonHeart) and has been their main songwriter and face of the band since then. In 2008 he accepted an offer from former Manowar guitarist David Shankle to join D.S.G., but left only a few months later. He announced the split-up of Power Quest in January 2013, citing financial issues and lack of label support. In July 2013, it was revealed that Steve Williams was the new keyboard player for the multi-national melodic metal band Eden's Curse replacing former keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio. ''Blood Alliance'' is the fifth studio album of the British power metal band Power Quest, with recording between September/October 2010 at Foel Studios, Wales with producer Chris Fielding and released worldwide by April 2011. The album followed significant lineup changes in the band of whom the only original member is keyboardist, songwriter and founder Steve Williams. In May 2010, it was announced that the new vocalist and guitarist were Chitral "Chity" Somapala and Gavin Owen. Master of Illusion is the fourth studio album of the British power metal band Power Quest, which was recorded in from August–December 2007, released in Australia on 31 January 2008, in Japan on 11 March 2008, and has been released worldwide on 25 April 2008. The album has been described as having "catchy melodies, fast paced songs, mid paced songs, epic songs" and will have a "hard rock" sound with "power ballads" and "heavier guitar work". ''Valley of the Damned'' is the debut studio album by British power metal band DragonForce. In 2000, while the band was still known as DragonHeart, a demo of the same name was recorded and sent to Noise Records, subsequently gaining the band a deal with the label. It was then re-recorded in late 2002 and released as a full-length studio album on 25 February 2003, following the band's obtainance of the deal with Noise and change in name to DragonForce. The album was set to be remastered and released with a bonus DVD on 24 September 2007, but was subsequently delayed and eventually released on 22 February 2010, along with the re-release of the band's second album, ''Sonic Firestorm''. David Shankle
David Lee Shankle (born March 7, 1962) is an American guitarist. He is known for his shred style of playing. Shankle was the guitarist for the band Manowar from 1989 to 1995 and he played on the album ''The Triumph of Steel''. He was previously a member of the band Paradoxx with whom he appeared on the ''Chicago Class Of '85'' compilation contributing the song "Night Ryder". Manowar is an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York. Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy (particularly sword and sorcery) and mythology (particularly Norse mythology and Greco-Roman mythology), as well as numerous songs celebrating the genre and its core audience. The band is also known for a loud and emphatic sound. In an interview for MTV in February 2007, bassist Joey DeMaio lamented that "these days, there's a real lack of big, epic metal that is drenched with crushing guitars and choirs and orchestras... so it's nice to be one of the few bands that's actually doing that".
