Steve Sciullo
Steven William Sciullo (born August 27, 1980) is a former American football guard of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Marshall Early life Sciullo was born on August 27, 1980, to Karen Ann Sciullo, a hair stylist, and Mario Sciullo a construction superintendent. He is of Italian and Polish descent. He attended Shaler Area High School, graduating in 1998. College He started 52 consecutive games at Marshall University. He is perhaps best known as one of the two Thundering Herd linemen who carried quarterback Byron Leftwich down the field against Akron, after Leftwich had fractured his tibia earlier in the game. Sciullo was interested in coaching halfway through his final season of college football. Guard (American Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through. Jermane Mayberry
Jermane Timothy Mayberry (born August 29, 1973) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. During the beginning of his career, Mayberry played several positions along the offensive line before settling in at right guard for the majority of his tenure. His solid play was recognized with a bid to the Pro Bowl after the 2002 season. After the 2004 season, Mayberry signed with the New Orleans Saints, where he retired before the 2006 season.
