Steve Rushton
Steven John Rushton (born 30 October 1987) is a British solo artist, and formerly co-lead singer bassist for the pop punk band, Son of Dork. Rushton contributed two songs to the number 1 box office and Billboard movie/soundtrack album, '' Hannah Montana: The Movie'' 'Game Over' and 'Everything I Want'. The soundtrack has sold 4,000,000+ copies worldwide. Biography Rushton was born in Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, and was introduced to music by his stepfather, an Elvis impersonator, when he used to bring Rushton up on stage with him to perform. Mr. Cheerful (2003–2004) From early school years and up to college, Rushton was the writer, guitarist and singer for the band Mr. Cheerful. Chertsey is a town in the Borough of Runnymede, Surrey, England, south-west of central London. It grew up round Chertsey Abbey, founded in 666 CE, and gained a market charter from Henry I. Released on 16 January 2006, the single peaked at number 10 on the UK Singles Chart as well as number 24 in Ireland. The single was the group's final release before being dropped by Mercury Records. Music video The video is fronted by ex-rhythm guitarist Dave Williams. He is seen to be a rockstar that has sex with many women, with the women quoting things in newspapers about Eddie, such as "Eddie rocks my world". The video then ends up with newspaper headlines, such as "Eddie had sex with my girlfriend". The video is of Son of Dork playing at a show. The album was later adapted into a musical, "Loserville the Musical", by band member James Bourne and writer Elliot Davis commissioned and performed by Youth Music Theatre UK and presented at the South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, in 2009. The show was subsequently retitled "Loserville" and produced professionally by Kevin Wallace, TC Beech and Youth Music Theatre UK at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
