Steve Roberts is a British comics artist, best known for his work on the long-running humour strip '' Bec & Kawl'' (written by Simon Spurrier). His iconic style, unusual in a comic known mainly for a combination of realistic techniques and action-packed stories, makes him well-suited for funny strips, and he has collaborated with Dan Abnett on a number of '' Sinister Dexter'' comedy one-offs. Biography Roberts was originally encouraged in his comics career by Simon Davis, who has continued to act as a mentor. Despite the two artists' styles being very different, they have collaborated on a number of cover images and star scans, with Davis painting over Roberts' inking work. Roberts has also worked closely with UK animation company SlinkyPics. With Ragdoll he created the animated series '' Dipdap'' for CBeebies. U.K. Subs are an English punk rock band, among the earliest in the first wave of British punk. Formed in 1976, the mainstay of the band has been vocalist Charlie Harper, originally a singer in Britain's R&B scene. They were also one of the first hardcore punk bands. Career 1976–1978 Although the U.K. Subs were part of the original punk movement in England, the band originally started playing as part of the pub rock scene under the name The Marauders. In 1976, after seeing a couple of punk rock shows at The Roxy, the band decided to become a punk rock band, changing their name at first to the Subversives but later modifying it to the U.K. Subs. The band consisted of founder Charlie Harper, guitarist Nicky Garratt, bassist Paul Slack, and a drummer who went under the name Rory Lyons. Steven Roberts (born 1988/1989) is an American Democratic politician serving in the 5th district of the Missouri Senate. Roberts' election on January 6, 2021, made him the youngest black State Senator in Missouri history. Roberts previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. While in the House, he was selected by his colleagues to serve as Chairman of the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus. Roberts is also a member of the Air National Guard. Roberts currently serves as the Minority Whip of the Missouri Senate.
