Steve Punter
Steve Punter (born 1958 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Toronto-based programmer and media personality. Punter is noted for his work with Commodore microcomputers. He created WordPro, the first major word processor for the Commodore PET and Commodore 64 computers. He is also the designer of the '' Punter'' binary file transfer protocols which bear his name. He wrote the PunterNet networked BBS program in the late 1980s. In the 1980s Punter designed and operated the bulletin board system (BBS) for the Toronto PET Users Group. He was an occasional speaker at the World of Commodore expos, and is featured in the film '' BBS: The Documentary''. He is an expert on cell phones and cell phone network coverage, in which capacity he has made occasional network TV appearances since the early 2000s. ''The Documentary'' is the debut studio album by American rapper the Game. It was released on January 18, 2005, by Aftermath Entertainment, G-Unit Records, The Black Wall Street Records and Interscope Records. The record serves as his major-label debut, preceded by his independently released debut '' Untold Story'' in 2004. In 2001, while the Game was in hospital recovering from a shooting, he decided to pursue a career in music. He released the mixtape, "Q.B. 2 Compton" under his then record label "Get Low Recordz" in 2002, which was later was discovered by Dr. Dre and led to him signing the Game to his label, Aftermath Entertainment. Brantford (Canada 2021 Census, 2021 population: 104,688) is a city in Ontario, Canada, founded on the Grand River (Ontario), Grand River in Southwestern Ontario. Personal Computer Museum
The Personal Computer Museum was located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, in a building formerly owned by the municipal government. The building was built with bricks reclaimed from the Brantford Opera House. Over fifty interactive personal computers were on display, from a wide variety of manufacturers, including Apple, Atari, Commodore, IBM, Radio Shack, Timex, Mattel, and others. The museum also had a large library of original software and a huge archive of computer-related magazines. The museum's mandate was to preserve computer technology and, more importantly, to offer interactivity with older machines. It welcomed private tours from schools and other groups. It was open to students, to study the origins of computers and the various technologies involved. World of Commodore is an annual computer expo dedicated to Commodore International, Commodore computers. The shows were initially organized by Commodore Canada or its sister companies, and took place at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, though in some years additional expos were held in the United States, Australia, or Europe.
