Steve Malagari
Steven R. "Steve" Malagari (born October 17, 1983) is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 53rd district. He has held the position since January 1, 2019. Career In 2012, Malagari was elected to the Lansdale Borough Council and served in the position until he was elected to the House in 2018. Malagari also served on the Montgomery County Transportation Authority starting in 2013. In 2018 Malagari beat fellow Lansdale Borough Councilman Leon Angelichio for the Democratic nomination. Malagari challenged Republican Andy Szekely and Libertarian John Waldenberger for the seat left vacant by Representative Bob Godshall and ultimately won the election on November 6, 2018, becoming the first Democrat to hold the seat since 1972. Robert Godshall
Robert W. "Bob" Godshall (May 15, 1933 – November 24, 2019) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 53rd District and was elected in 1982. Career In 1979, Godshall was elected Montgomery County Controller and served in that position until he was elected to the House in 1982. For the 2009-10 legislative session, Godshall served on the House Insurance and Rules Committees and was Republican chairman of the House Consumer Affairs Committee. He served on the board of trustees of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, which is a museum dedicated to the U.S. Constitution. Personal Godshall was a graduate of Souderton High School. He graduated from Juniata College and attended but did not graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Lansdale is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a densely-populated commuter town, with many residents traveling daily to Philadelphia using SEPTA Regional Rail's Lansdale/Doylestown Line. In 1900, 2,754 people lived here; in 1910, 3,551; and in 1940, 9,316 people were inhabitants of Lansdale. The population was 16,269 at the time of the 2010 census. Ursinus College is a private liberal arts college in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1869 and occupies a 170-acre campus. North Penn High School
North Penn High School is a part of the North Penn School District and is located in Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania, about a mile outside of Lansdale borough, 25 miles northwest of Philadelphia, along Valley Forge Road (Pennsylvania Route 363). North Penn High School was created in 1955 as the result of a consolidation of seven school districts (Hatfield Joint Consolidated, Lansdale Borough, Line Lexington Independent, Montgomery Township, North Wales Borough, Towamencin Township and Upper Gwynedd Township) to educate students from three former high schools: Hatfield High School, Lansdale High School, and North Wales High School.
