Steve Hansen (politician)
Steven D. Hansen (born February 5, 1955) is an American politician. He was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives for District 1 from 1987 to 1995. He was then elected to the Iowa Senate from District 1 between 1995 and 2003. Hansen returned to the state house in 2021, representing District 14. Early life and education Hansen was born in Sioux City, Iowa on February 5, 1955. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, political science, and criminal justice from Morningside College and a Master of Arts political science from the University of South Dakota. Career Hansen served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1987 to 1995 and in the Iowa Senate from 1995 to 2003. Iowa Senate
The Iowa Senate is the upper house of the Iowa General Assembly, United States. There are 50 seats in the Iowa Senate, representing 50 single-member districts across the state of Iowa with populations of approximately 60,927 per constituency, . Each Senate district is composed of two House districts. The Senate meets at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Unlike the lower house, the Iowa House of Representatives, Senators serve four-year terms, with no term limits. Terms are staggered so that half the Senate is up for reelection every two years. Robert Henderson (American Politician)
Robert Henderson is an American politician. Early career Henderson moved to Sioux City, Iowa, in 1989, to accept an assistant coaching position for the Morningside Mustangs football team. He subsequently worked for Penn Corp Financial, before teaching within the Sioux City Community School District. Political career Henderson worked for Chuck Grassley as a regional director. He contested a Sioux City School Board election in 2015. This was Henderson's first candidacy for public office. He finished seventh of seven candidates. Shortly after the election, board member Paul Speidel resigned his seat, and Henderson was one of five candidates considered for appointment to the board. Former board member John Meyers was eventually selected. Henderson campaigned for the District 14 seat in the Iowa House of Representatives in 2016 and 2018, losing both times to Tim Kacena. The Sioux City Public Museum is a museum about the history and culture of Sioux City, Iowa. Displays include a video about the city's history, Native American artifacts, pioneer artifacts, historic transportation vehicles, agriculture, industry, geology and fossils.
