Steve Gillespie
Steve Gillespie (born August 2, 1985 in Brecksville, Ohio) is an American soccer player who most recently played on the Cleveland Freeze in the Professional Arena Soccer League, PASL. Gillespie has experience playing in the Major League Soccer, MLS, United Soccer Leagues First Division, USL First Division, Professional Arena Soccer League, PASL Pro and the USL Premier Development League, PDL. Career College and amateur Gillespie attended Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School and played college soccer at Mount Union College, where he was the 2007 Ohio Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year, was named to All-Great Lakes Region First Team & All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Teams in 2007, the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Second Team in 2006, and was a two-time Mount Union soccer MVP in 2006 and 2007. Brecksville, Ohio
Brecksville is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States, and a suburb in the Greater Cleveland area. The city's population was 13,635 at the United States 2020 Census. History Brecksville was founded in 1811, four years after several men—including Colonel John Breck—purchased the surrounding area. After the land was surveyed, Seth Payne, one of the surveyors, brought his family and settled in the area in June 1811, and he was soon followed by many other families. Although Colonel Breck never lived in Brecksville, his three sons did, and members of his family continued to live in Brecksville until 1934, when his great-grandson Dr. Theodore Breck died. An early historical account of Brecksville was written by William R. Coates and published by ''The American Historical Society'' in 1924.
