Steve Ellis (comics)
Steve Ellis is an American comic book artist and illustrator who has worked for Wizards of the Coast, DC Comics, Wildstorm, White Wolf, Moonstone Books and Marvel Comics. Career Ellis is the illustrator and co-creator behind ''The Silencers'' (with Fred Van Lente) and ''High Moon'' (with David Gallaher). Steve Ellis’ work has been featured on CD covers, computer games, trading cards, books, RPGs, magazines, toys and comics. Ellis worked for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Wizards of the Coast, and Upper Deck, among other companies. His ''Dungeons & Dragons'' work for Wizards of the Coast includes interior illustrations for ''Libris Mortis'', ''Frostburn'', ''Lords of Madness'', ''Complete Adventurer'', and ''Player's Handbook II''. The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. It was first held in 2006. ''Libris Mortis: The Book of Undead'' is a book which is an official supplement for the 3.5 edition of the ''Dungeons and Dragons'' role-playing game. The book covers the fictional undead within the ''D&D'' universe and comprises seven chapters, introducing new content for Dungeon Masters and players, as well as providing general information about undead. It was received positively by reviewers, with praise for its material for Dungeon Masters and its illustrations, but received criticism for its weak player-oriented content. The book was the second in the series of books about specific monster types, the first being ''Draconomicon''. Similar books published since include '' Lords of Madness''. The Society of Illustrators is a professional society based in New York City. It was founded in 1901 to promote the art of illustration and, since 1959, has held an annual exhibition. History Founding The Society of Illustrators was founded on February 1, 1901, by a group of nine artists and one advising businessman. The advising businessman was Henry S. Fleming, a coal dealer who offered his legal staff to the Society in an advisory role and also served as the Society of Illustrators Secretary and Treasurer for many years. The nine artists who, with Fleming, founded the Society were Otto Henry Bacher, Frank Vincent DuMond, Henry Hutt, Albert Wenzell, Albert Sterner, Benjamin West Clinedinst, F. C. Convergence (comics)
"Convergence" is a weekly comic book storyline published by DC Comics that ran from April 2015 to May 2015. The series consists of an eponymous #0 issue, an eight-issue core miniseries, and 40 two-issue tie-in miniseries. "Convergence" continues from the weekly series '' Earth 2: World's End'' and '' The New 52: Futures End''. In the story, Brainiac collects cities and inhabitants from various timelines that have ended and traps them in domes on a planet outside of time and space. He then exposes the domes to one another to see how the characters interact. This event marks the return of DC characters and timelines from before the 2011 " Flashpoint" storyline that led to the creation of The New 52 Universe. Green Lantern Corps
Green Lantern Corps is the name of a fictional intergalactic law enforcement organization appearing in comics published by DC Comics. They patrol the farthest reaches of the DC Universe at the behest of the Guardians, a race of immortals residing on the planet Oa. According to DC continuity, the Green Lantern Corps has been in existence for three billion years. Currently operating amongst the 3600 "sectors" of the universe, there are 7204 members (known commonly as Green Lanterns). There are two lanterns for every sector, with the exception of sector 2814, which has six members.
