Steve Dillon
Steve Dillon (22 March 1962 – 22 October 2016) was a British comic book artist, best known for his work with writer Garth Ennis on ''Hellblazer'', ''Preacher'' and ''The Punisher''. Early life Dillon was born in London in 1962 and raised in Luton, Bedfordshire. He was the oldest of three siblings, a sister younger by three years, Julie, and a brother younger by nine years who is cartoonist/costume designer Glyn Dillon. While attending Icknield High School, Dillon first realised his potential as a serious comic book artist during the production of a school comic book called ''Ultimate Sci Fi Adventures'' with school friends Neil Bailey & Paul Mahon in 1975. His first strip in this comic was "The Space Vampire". This was followed by the ''Escape from the Planet of the Apes'' series. ''John Constantine, Hellblazer'' is an American contemporary Horror fiction, horror comic-book series published by DC Comics since January 1988, and subsequently by its Vertigo Comics, Vertigo imprint since March 1993, when the imprint was introduced. Its central character is the streetwise English exorcist and con man John Constantine, who was created by Alan Moore and Stephen R. Bissette, and first appeared as a supporting character in ''Swamp Thing'' (vol. 2) #37 (June 1985), during that creative team's run on that title. ''Hellblazer'' had been published continuously since January 1988, and was Vertigo's longest-running title, the only remaining publication from the imprint's launch. ''Hulk Comic'' (later ''The Incredible Hulk Weekly'') was a black-and-white Marvel UK comics anthology published under the editorship of Dez Skinn starting in 1979. Publication history After starring for many years in the Marvel UK flagship title, '' The Mighty World of Marvel'', the Hulk was given his own weekly publication. Marie Javins (born April 22, 1966) is an American comic book editor, comic book colorist, and travel writer known for her long association with Marvel Comics and the Teshkeel Media Group. As of 2020, Javins is editor-in-chief of DC Comics. Career Javins attended Antioch College and interned at Marvel Comics and Epic Comics. After graduation, she was hired as an editorial assistant and secretary for Mark Gruenwald. Javins became a full editor at Marvel and Epic Comics in the early nineties, editing projects such as Akira, Groo, and Alex Ross's ''Earth X''. She also colored more than 2,000 pages. In 2001 Javins left Marvel to launch an around-the-world online project called MariesWorldTour.com. She circumnavigated the globe twice, documenting her journeys extensively. Ruptured Appendix
Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix. Symptoms commonly include right lower abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. However, approximately 40% of people do not have these typical symptoms. Severe complications of a ruptured appendix include widespread, painful inflammation of the inner lining of the abdominal wall and sepsis. Appendicitis is caused by a blockage of the hollow portion of the appendix. This is most commonly due to a calcified "stone" made of feces. Inflamed lymphoid tissue from a viral infection, parasites, gallstone, or tumors may also cause the blockage. This blockage leads to increased pressures in the appendix, decreased blood flow to the tissues of the appendix, and bacterial growth inside the appendix causing inflammation. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992). Since January 2010, Rotten Tomatoes has been owned by Flixster, which was in turn acquired by Warner Bros in 2011. Hitman (Tommy Monaghan) is a fictional character, a superpowered hitman in the DC Comics Universe. The character was created by Garth Ennis and John McCrea and first appeared in '' The Demon Annual'' #2 before receiving his own series by Ennis and McCrea that ran for 61 issues. Section 8 is a fictional comic book team of superheroes appearing in books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Garth Ennis and artists John McCrea and Steve Dillon, the team first appeared in ''Hitman'' #18 (September 1997). The team is named after the military designation for "mentally unfit for duty". History The team is based in The Cauldron, the Irish section of Gotham City, and is led by Sixpack.
