Steve Dasbach
Steve Dasbach is an American politician from Indiana. He served as the 11th chair of the Libertarian National Committee from 1993 to 1998. In 1986, he was the Libertarian Party of Indiana candidate for Indiana's 4th Congressional District U.S. Representative receiving 602 votes for 0.4% of the vote. When activist Steve Kubby was arrested for cannabis offenses, Dasbach advocated dropping the charges. Dasbach advocates for a repeal of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996; and to reduce the size and power of the federal government. Dasbach served as Jo Jorgensen's campaign manager for her campaign in the 2020 presidential election. Dasbach ran to return to his role as LNC Chair in the 2021 special election, but lost to Whitney Bilyeu. Libertarian National Committee
The Libertarian National Committee (LNC) controls and manages the affairs, properties, and funds of the United States Libertarian Party. It is composed of the party officers, five at-large representatives elected every two years at the national convention, and a theoretical maximum of 10 regional representatives. The current chair is Angela McArdle, elected at the 2022 Libertarian National Convention. The LNC has lobbied or filed lawsuits against laws and regulations that restrict contributions to parties and candidates. |

Instant-runoff voting (IRV) is a type of ranked preferential voting method. It uses a majority voting rule in single-winner elections where there are more than two candidates. 1993 Libertarian National Convention
The Libertarian National Convention is held every two years by the Libertarian Party (United States) to choose members of the Libertarian National Committee (LNC), and to conduct other party business. In presidential election years, the convention delegates enact a platform and nominate the Libertarian presidential and vice-presidential candidates who then face the nominees of other parties in the November general election. While most delegates to the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention are tied to particular candidates, delegates to the Libertarian National Convention are free to choose, as was previously the case for the larger parties. 2020 Libertarian National Convention
The 2020 Libertarian National Convention delegates selected the Libertarian Party nominees for president and vice president in the 2020 United States presidential election. Primaries were held, but were preferential in nature and did not determine delegate allocation. The convention was originally scheduled to be held from May 21 to May 25 at the JW Marriott Austin luxury hotel in downtown Austin, Texas. On April 26, all reservations at the JW Marriott Austin were canceled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving the convention oversight committee to seek another venue for a possible July date. Adam Charles Kokesh (; born February 1, 1982) is an American libertarian political activist, radio host, and author. Kokesh was a U.S. 2020 Libertarian presidential candidate running on the single-issue platform of an "orderly dissolution of the federal government."
