Steve Chubin
Stephen Chubin, also known as "Chube" (born February 8, 1944) is a retired American professional basketball player. College career Born in New York City, Chubin played college basketball at the University of Rhode Island, with the Rhode Island Rams, where he became the school's all-time leading scorer. He was inducted into the University of Rhode Island Athletics Hall of Fame, in 1981. He won a gold medal with Team USA in basketball at the 1965 Maccabiah Games in Israel, along with Tal Brody, Ronald Green, and Ron Watts. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The LBA plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 16 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the Serie A2 and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano, commonly known as Olimpia Milano or as EA7 Emporio Armani Milan after its title sponsor, is an LBA Italian professional basketball team, based in Milan, Italy. Its colors are white and red, and the team is sometimes referred as "Scarpette Rosse" (Little Red Shoes) because team officials imported red Converse All-Star shoes for players from the United States. Ronald Green (רוני גרין; August 5, 1944 – July 2012) was an American-Israeli basketball player. He played the forward position. He played in the Israel Basketball Premier League, and for the Israeli national basketball team. Biography Green was born in Miami Beach, Florida, and was Jewish. He was raised by Morris and Florence Green. He was 6' 6" (198 cm) tall. His son Erin Green also played professional basketball in Israel. He attended Miami Beach High School, where Green played on the basketball team from 1960–1962, and was named All-City First Team. Talbot "Tal" Brody (Hebrew: טל ברודי; born August 30, 1943), nicknamed Mr. Basketball, is an American-Israeli former professional basketball player and current goodwill ambassador of Israel. Brody was drafted #12 in the National Basketball Association (NBA) draft, but chose to pass up an NBA career, to instead play basketball in Israel. He played on national basketball teams of both the United States and Israel, and served in the armies of both countries. A New Jersey All-star basketball player in high school, Brody led his team to an undefeated state championship. The 7th Maccabiah Games in 1965 saw 1,500 athletes from 29 different countries compete in 21 sports. It was the first Maccabiah Games for Iran, Jamaica, Peru, and Venezuela.
