Steve Buratto
Steve Buratto (born c. 1943) is a Canadian football coach and former offensive lineman. He is the offensive coordinator for the UBC Thunderbirds football team. He is also a former head coach in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders and BC Lions, the latter of which he won the 88th Grey Cup with. Early career Buratto graduated from Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Washington, in 1961. A late bloomer, he did not make the varsity team until his senior year. He attended junior college at Columbia Basin College for a year in Pasco, Washington, then transferred to the University of Idaho in Moscow, recruited by Bud Riley to play for head coach Dee Andros. He redshirted in 1962 and then was a center for the Vandals for three seasons, and played with Jerry Campbell and Don Matthews. Moscow, Idaho
Moscow ( ) is a city in North Central Idaho, United States. Located along the state border with Washington, it had a population of 25,435 at the 2020 census. The UNLV Rebels football program is a college football team that represents the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Tony Knap
Anthony Joseph Knap (December 8, 1914 – September 24, 2011) was an American football coach. He was the head coach at Utah State University (1963–1966), Boise State University (1968–1975), and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (1976–1981). He compiled a career college football record of (). Knap also worked as a high school teacher and coach, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Twin Falls High School
Twin Falls High School is a public secondary school in Twin Falls, Idaho, one of two traditional high schools operated by the Twin Falls School District. School history Twin Falls High School was founded in 1907. Citizens passed a bond in 1909 to construct the high school building and a supplemental bond in 1911 to complete construction. Sandpoint High School
Sandpoint High School is a four-year public secondary school in the northwest United States, located in Sandpoint, Idaho. 1966 NFL Draft
The 1966 National Football League draft was held at the Summit Hotel in New York City on Saturday, November 27, 1965. The expansion Atlanta Falcons were awarded the first pick in each round as well as the final pick in each of the first five rounds. The first overall selection was Tommy Nobis, a linebacker from Texas. The league also provided the Falcons with an expansion draft six weeks later. This was the last draft in which the NFL and the AFL selected their players separate of one another. Don Matthews
Donald J. Matthews, a.k.a. "The Don", (June 22, 1939 – June 14, 2017) was a head coach of several professional football teams, mostly in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He won 231 games in the CFL, the second highest win total by a head coach in the league's history while leading four teams to Grey Cup victories. Gerald "Soupy" Campbell (July 14, 1944 – August 9, 2017) was a professional football player, a linebacker in the Canadian Football League for the Calgary Stampeders (1966–1968) and the Ottawa Rough Riders (1968–1975).
