Steve Buckley (footballer)
Steve Buckley (born 16 October 1953) is an English former association football, footballer. His brother Alan Buckley and nephew Adam Buckley also played professionally. In 1974, he was snapped up by Luton Town F.C., Luton Town where he spent four seasons before moving to Derby County F.C., Derby County. At Derby he was twice voted player-of-the-season, winning the award for the 1979-1980 and 1981–1982 seasons. Buckley joined Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City for the 1986–87 season and he made a total of 72 appearances for them in two seasons. After his time at Lincoln he moved on to Boston United F.C., Boston United. Eastwood, Nottinghamshire
Eastwood is a former coal mining town in the Broxtowe district of Nottinghamshire, England, northwest of Nottingham and northeast of Derby on the border between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Mentioned in Domesday Book, it expanded rapidly during the Industrial Revolution. The Midland Railway was formed here and it is the birthplace of D. H. Lawrence. Alan Buckley
Alan Peter Buckley (born 20 April 1951) is an English former professional footballer and football manager who now works as a sports co-commentator for BBC Humberside. As a player, he was a forward from 1967 to 1987 for Nottingham Forest, Walsall, Birmingham City, Stourbridge and Tamworth. He moved into management and has been in charge of Walsall, Kettering Town, West Bromwich Albion, Lincoln City and Rochdale. He gained renown for his three stints as manager of Grimsby Town between 1988 and 2008, where his achievements have made him the club's most successful manager. Buckley is one of only 14 managers to have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a league club, but the only one of the 14 never to have managed a team in the Premiership or its predecessor, the First Division.
