Steve Blay
Steve Blay (born January 12, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida) is a poker author, inventor, and poker executive. He is the founder of AdvancedPokerTraining.com, and holds a patent in the creation of computer poker players and poker training software. He served as poker advisor to 2016 World Series of Poker champion Qui Nguyen. Blay attended the University of Florida and holds a degree in Computer Engineering. In 2017, he co-authored From Vietnam to Vegas: How I Won the World Series of Poker Main Event with Qui Nguyen. Advanced Poker Training In 2012, Blay was awarded a patent for his technique of “Dynamic Analysis” to improve the play of computerized poker opponents. His website Advanced Poker Training is a reduction to practice of this concept. Omaha hold 'em (also known as Omaha holdem or simply Omaha) is a community card poker game similar to Texas hold 'em, where each player is dealt four cards and must make their best hand using exactly two of them, plus exactly three of the five community cards. The exact origin of the game is unknown, but casino executive Robert Turner first brought Omaha into a casino setting when he introduced the game to Bill Boyd, who offered it as a game at the Las Vegas Golden Nugget Casino (calling it "Nugget Hold'em"). The 2017 World Series of Poker was the 48th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). It took place from May 30 – July 17 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. November Nine
The November Nine was the name used to refer to the final nine contestants, or final table, at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) from 2008 to 2016. The winner of the WSOP Main Event is considered to be the World Champion of Poker. Prior to 2008, the entire Main Event was played without interruption. Starting in 2008, in an effort to build excitement in the WSOP and to increase ratings for the tape-delayed televised shows, Harrah's Entertainment and ESPN decided to delay the final table until shortly before its scheduled broadcast. The delay would allow ESPN to cover the rest of the tournament leading up to the final table without viewers knowing the winner in advance. Mike A. Caro (born May 16, 1944) is an American professional poker player, pioneer poker theorist, author of poker books, and casino executive. Author In 1978 Caro contributed 50 statistical tables to Doyle Brunson's ''Super/System'' and wrote that book's chapter on draw poker. He acts as a consultant to many casinos, providing odds, and he helped develop the Poker Probe, the first serious commercial PC program for analyzing poker situations.
