Steva Riordan
Stephen John Riordan (24 December 1876 – 23 August 1942) was an Irish hurling, hurler who played for Cork Senior Hurling Championship, Cork Championship club Blackrock GAA, Blackrock. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for six years, during which time he usually lined out as a half-forward. Riordan began his hurling career at club level with Blackrock. He broke onto the club's top adult team in 1898 Cork Senior Hurling Championship, 1898, a year in which he won his first Cork Senior Hurling Championship, Cork Championship title. Riordan won a further six championship titles with Blackrock. At inter-county level, Riordan joined the Cork senior team in 1902 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, 1902. Blackrock GAA
Blackrock National Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club located on the southside of Cork City, Ireland. The club was founded in 1883 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. No other Cork-based GAA club has won more Senior County Hurling titles or All-Ireland Club Championships. The club is sometimes known as 'The Rockies'. History Blackrock Hurling Club was officially founded in 1883, one year before the foundation of the Gaelic Athletic Association itself. It is therefore the oldest hurling club in Cork. Until 1888 the club was known as Cork Nationals, when it changed its name to National Hurling Club of Blackrock, and later in the same year to Blackrock National Hurling Club. The 1908 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 21st staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. Jer Doheny
Jeremiah "Jer" Doheny (20 July 1874 – 11 August 1929) was an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. He was captain for Kilkenny's first All Ireland victory in 1904. Born in Ballycallan, County Kilkenny, Doheny first played competitive hurling in his youth. He made his senior debut during the 1893 championship and became a regular player over the next decade. During that time Doheny won one All-Ireland medal and eight Leinster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions. At club level Doheny was a ten-time championship medallist with Tullaroan and Johnstown, while ha also played with Threecastles. Dan Harrington (born December 6, 1945) is a professional poker player, best known for winning the Main Event at the 1995 World Series of Poker. He has earned one World Poker Tour title, two WSOP bracelets, and over six million dollars in tournament cashes in his poker career. He is also a member of the Poker Hall of Fame. Harrington chose his own nickname "Action Dan" even though he is known for being a tight conservative player. Jamesy Kelleher
Jamesy Kelleher (31 March 1878 – 10 January 1943) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Dungourney, County Cork, Kelleher first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-three when he first linked up with the Cork senior team. He made his senior debut during the 1900 championship. Kelleher immediately became a regular member of the starting team, and won two All-Ireland medals and seven Munster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions. At club level Kelleher was a three-time championship medallist with Dungourney. Throughout his career Kelleher made 47 championship appearances. He retired from inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 1914 championship. Kelleher was posthumously honoured by being named in the right corner-back position on the Cork Hurling Team of the Century.
