Caden Sterns
Caden Sterns (born November 2, 1999) is an American football safety for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas. Early years Sterns attended Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas. Sterns older brother, Jordan, was a star two-way player in high school (2010-2013) and would later play at Oklahoma State University. During his career, Caden had 235 tackles and 11 interceptions. He was selected to play in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl and won the Pete Dawkins Trophy as the game's MVP. A five-star recruit, Sterns originally committed to play college football at Louisiana State University (LSU) before switching the University of Texas at Austin. College career Sterns started all 13 games his true freshman season at Texas in 2018. He was the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and was named a first-team All-Big 12 after recording 62 tackles, four interceptions and one sack. Jerreth Sterns (born July 1, 1999) is an American professional Canadian football wide receiver who plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. He played college football at Houston Baptist before transferring to Western Kentucky. High school career Sterns went to Waxahachie High School. As a senior, Sterns caught 8 touchdown passes for 956 yards. He was rated as a 2-star recruit and the 374th best player in the state of Texas according to 247 Sports. Sterns was originally committed to Army but he decommitted and flipped to Houston Baptist. College career Houston Baptist Sterns played in 11 games as a freshman. He recorded four receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. His first career touchdown came against SMU. Jonathan Sterns
Jonathan Sterns (April 19, 1751 – May 23, 1798) was a Loyalist from Boston, Solicitor General for Nova Scotia and political figure in Nova Scotia. He represented Halifax County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1793 to 1798. He was born in Massachusetts, the son of David Sterns and Ruth Hubbard, and was educated at Harvard University. Sterns married Mehitable Robie in 1785. He married Elizabeth Taylor after his first wife's death. He served as solicitor general from 1797 to 1798. Sterns accused the Attorney General Richard John Uniacke of being biased against Loyalists in the courts which resulted in a street fight between Sterns and Uniacke in 1798. Sterns was in poor health and died shortly afterwards. The Chief Justice and ally of Sterns, Sampson Salter Blowers, blamed Uniacke for the death and challenged him to a duel which was called off when both men were bound to keep the peace.
