Steppin' On
"Steppin' On" is a song by Australian group Sexing the Cherry, originally featured on the 1992 compilation album ''High (A Dance Compilation)''. The song was first released as a single in 1993, before being re-released as "Steppin' On Remix" in 1994, after which it peaked at number 42 on the ARIA Charts. It was also included on the '' Heartbreak High'' soundtrack. Critical reception In 2022, '' The Music'' reviewed the song, writing: "Brisbane isn't long remembered for its contribution to the 90s dance scene, but Sexing the Cherry tried to turn that around with this dance-floor banger that peaked just outside the top 40. DJ Edwin
Edwin Campbell X Morrow, Note: User may have to click 'Search again' and provide details at 'Enter a title:' e.g BB Boys and BB Girls; or at 'Performer:' Sexing the Cherry (29 June 196816 March 2014) known professionally as DJ Edwin, was a DJ, remixer, songwriter and producer. As a DJ he pioneered the Brisbane dance music and club scene, along with DJ Angus and DJ Kesson, in the late 1980s. In the 1990s Edwin created the ''Halloween'' and ''Adrenalin'' dance parties and the all-female DJ party, ''Adrenalene''. He was a long-term resident DJ at The Beat and Rockafella's nightclubs in Fortitude Valley. Edwin wrote and produced electronic dance music and hard house under a variety of names including Mister Morrow, Eggo & Hot Pocket (with DJ Jen-E), Eco Cops, and Nu Guerilla. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling songs and albums in various genres in Australia. ARIA became the official Australian music chart in June 1988, succeeding the Kent Music Report, which had been Australia's national music sales charts since 1974. Heartbreak High
''Heartbreak High'' is an Australian television program created by Michael Jenkins and Ben Gannon that ran from 1994 to 1996 on Network Ten and 1997 to 1999 on the ABC, for seven series. It was also partially funded from 1996 by BBC2, with some episodes airing in the UK ahead of their Australian release. The drama has been described as more gritty and fast-paced than many of its contemporaries, and follows the lives of students and staff at a multicultural Sydney high school. The first five series were set at the fictional Hartley High and filmed in Maroubra Bay High School in Maroubra, New South Wales in the Eastern Suburbs. Series six and seven were set at the fictional Hartley Heights, and filmed in Warriewood in the Northern Beaches. ''The Music'', (formerly known as and now incorporating ''Drum Media)'', is an online Australian music magazine. It previously existed as a street press devoted to long-form music journalism and commentary, music news, and artist interviews. In its printed form, it was based in Sydney, NSW and distributed throughout Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle and Canberra, and surrounding areas. The magazine changed its name to ''The Music'' (incorporating Drum Media) in 2013, following the merge with two other magazines, Brisbane's ''Time Off'' and Melbourne's ''Inpress'', owned by Street Press Australia. In 2020 the print edition was paused. Drum Media ''Drum Media'' was founded in 1990 as a free weekly tabloid-sized music magazine (street press).
