Stephon Alexander is a theoretical physicist, cosmologist, musician, and author who blends the worlds of theoretical physics and jazz music. Personal life and education Alexander was born in Trinidad and moved to the United States when he was eight. He grew up in the Bronx, New York City and attended DeWitt Clinton High School where his physics teacher Daniel Kaplan inspired him to study physics. Alexander is a scientist and a jazz saxophonist who ponders links, including sound, between small and big things in the universe that go beyond Einstein's curved space-time and big bang theory. Stephon Clark
In the late evening of March 18, 2018, Stephon Clark, a 22-year-old African-American man, was shot and killed in Meadowview, Sacramento, California by Terrence Mercadal and Jared Robinet, two officers of the Sacramento Police Department in the backyard of his grandmother's house while he had a phone in his hand. The encounter was filmed by police video cameras and by a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department helicopter which was involved in observing Clark on the ground and in directing ground officers to the point at which the shooting took place. The officers stated that they shot Clark, firing 20 rounds, believing that he had pointed a gun at them. Police found only a cell phone on him. While the Sacramento County Coroner's autopsy report concluded that Clark was shot seven times, including three shots to the right side of the back, the pathologist hired by the Clark family stated that Clark was shot eight times, including six times in the back. Stephon Stiles Gilmore (born September 19, 1990) is an American football cornerback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at South Carolina and was selected 10th overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 NFL Draft. Gilmore spent his first five seasons with the Bills and earned Pro Bowl honors in 2016 before joining the New England Patriots. Stephon Heyer (born January 16, 1984) is a former American football offensive tackle. He was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Maryland. He was also a member of the Oakland Raiders, New York Jets and BC Lions. Stephon Xavier Marbury (born February 20, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player and current head coach in the Chinese Basketball Association. After his freshman year with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, he was selected as the 4th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, but was traded shortly thereafter to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Stephon Jakiel Tuitt (born May 23, 1993) is a former American football defensive end who played eight seasons, all with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame. High school career Tuitt attended Monroe Area High School in Monroe, Georgia. Stephon Williams (born April 28, 1993) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was selected by the New York Islanders in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Williams played college hockey with the Minnesota State Mavericks in the NCAA Men's Division I WCHA conference. In his freshman year, Williams' outstanding play was rewarded with a selection to the 2012–13 All-WCHA First Team.
