Steve Wood (bishop)
Stephen Dwain "Steve" Wood (born 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American bishop. He is currently serving as the first bishop of the Diocese of the Carolinas, a diocese of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), as well as rector of St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Early life and career Wood was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Wickliffe, Ohio. He received his B.A. from Cleveland State University in 1986 and his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1991, after which he was ordained to the priesthood of the Episcopal Church. Wood served at Episcopal churches in Ohio until being called in 2000 as rector of St. Andrew's, Mount Pleasant, which was then a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina. Under Wood's leadership, St. Andrews was described as "one of the Lowcountry’s biggest church success stories", growing to a membership of more than 3,000 and planting new churches in Goose Creek, downtown Charleston, and the ...

Steve Wood (footballer, Born February 1963)
Steve Wood (born 2 February 1963) is an English former football defender. Wood started his career as an apprentice at Arsenal but was then snapped up by Reading for whom he had eight successful years gaining promotion to the Second Division. He then moved to Millwall for £85,000, and finally onto Southampton for £400,000. He had a brief spells at Oxford United and Woking in the latter part of his career then retired. He now runs his own football representation company, Midas Sports. Steve Wood (born 23 June 1963) is an English former footballer who played in The Football League for Macclesfield Town. Career Wood started his career at Chadderton, followed by short stints at Mossley, Droylsden, Stalybridge Celtic and Ashton United before joining Macclesfield Town at the beginning of the 1993–94 season, making his debut in a 5–1 defeat at Bath. Born in Melbourne, Wood played NCAA Division I tennis in the United States while studying business at Louisiana State University, before embarking on a brief professional tennis career. Steven Wood
Steven Wood (17 March 1961 – 23 November 1995) was an Australian sprint and marathon canoeist who competed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the K-4 1000 m event at Barcelona in 1992. Wood won two medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a silver (K-4 1000 m: 1991) and a bronze (K-2 1000 m: 1986). He was married to Anna Wood, a Dutch-born sprint canoeist who won two bronze medals at the Summer Olympics, one for Australia and one for the Netherlands. Stephen Mosher Wood (June 10, 1832 – December 24, 1920) was an American politician. Mr. Wood represented Chase County, Kansas in the Kansas House of Representatives in 1871 and 1875, and was a member of the Kansas Senate in 1876 after replacing S. R. Peters who resigned. Early life and family Stephen Mosher Wood was born at Mount Gilead, Ohio, June 10, 1832, to David and Esther Ward (Mosher) Wood. Mr. Wood married Caroline Halsey Breese on May 22, 1853, and was the father of Wallace Alfred Wood, Clarence David Wood, Carrie Wood and Sidney Breese Wood. Stephen Wood (born August 18, 1981) is an American ice hockey coach and former defenseman who was an All-American for Providence. Career Wood joined the ice hockey team at Providence in 2000, playing as a depth defenseman for a team that reached the Hockey East finals and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament. He took a more prominent role as a sophomore, leading the Friars' defense in scoring for three consecutive seasons. Unfortunately, the team was only marginally successful during this period. After finishing with a sub-.500 record in 2002, Wood helped Providence keep their heads above water as an upperclassmen but only just. In his final three years, the Friars went 1–6 in playoff games, losing the conference quarterfinals each season.
