Stephen Rowe (footballer)
Stephen Rowe (born 3 November 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), the Norwood Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Rowe started his senior career at South Fremantle in 1985, having won the Jack Clarke Medal as the best player in the 1984 WAFL Colts season. After two seasons in the WAFL seniors, Rowe crossed to Norwood and went on to win their "best and fairest" award in 1990. At the end of the year he was recruited by Adelaide, where he would spend five seasons. A rover, he had 30 disposals against Essendon in just his second league game but could only put together 11 appearances in his first two seasons. Stephen Rowe (born April 7, 1980) is a Canadian poet. Biography Born in Heart's Content, Newfoundland and Labrador, Rowe was educated first in Heart's Content and Carbonear and then in St. John's, where he attended Memorial University of Newfoundland. He was admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Arts in 2003 and then to a bachelor's degree in Intermediate/Secondary Education in 2005. In 2006 he studied poetry with Canadian poet Mary Dalton, during which he wrote the chapbook ''Below The Spruce'' and took part in a mentorship program with Canadian poet and novelist Alison Pick. After graduating from university, Rowe lived and worked in St. John's before moving to Gander, where he now works and writes. In October 2009, he published his first book of poetry, entitled ''Never More There'', and in 2015 his second book, ''geo•logics'', was published by Breakwater Books. Steve Rowe (born 19 January 1965) is the founder, bass guitarist, and vocalist of the Australian Christian death metal band Mortification which was considered to be a major pioneer in the genre. Prior to forming Mortification he was in a traditional heavy metal styled Christian band known as LightForce. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 1997, but made a full recovery. He is currently the owner and head of the Rowe Productions record label. In 2015, Rowe announced his retirement from Christian music. However, his career has continued, while Mortification has been inactive the members' side project, Wonrowe Vision, have remained active.
