Stephen Reid (artist)
Stephen Reid (1873–1948) was a Scottish illustrator and painter who specialised in Georgian settings and costume pieces. Born in Aberdeen, he was educated Gray's School of Art and the Royal Scottish Academy. He was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists at the age of 33. His early work was influenced by Edwin Austin Abbey. Stephen Reid (March 13, 1950 – June 12, 2018) was a Canadians, Canadian criminal and writer, who was a member of the notorious The Stopwatch Gang, Stopwatch Gang and was also convicted twice of bank robbery. Reid served time in over 20 prisons in Canada and the United States. Reid was born in Massey, Ontario, Massey, Ontario, on March 13, 1950, and is of Irish and Ojibwa descent. Reid, working with fellow Canadians Paddy Mitchell, and Lionel Wright stole approximately $15 million—mainly in the 1970s and 1980s—from more than 140 banks and other sites across Canada and the U.S. The Stopwatch Gang, which was famous for its speedy heists—including the 1974 robbery of $750,000 in Gold bullion, gold bars from the Ottawa Airport—was named for a stopwatch Reid wore around his neck. They successfully completed a $750,000 gold heist in 1974 from the Ottawa airport. They were arrested after that robbery and all escaped from prison by 1979. Steven Reid
Steven John Reid (born 10 March 1981) is a former professional footballer who played as a right back, having previously played most of his career in midfield. He was most recently the first team coach at Nottingham Forest. Reid began his career with Millwall in 1998, moving to Blackburn Rovers five years later. After an initial loan spell, he joined West Bromwich Albion in 2010. His career was troubled by injury; he once notably played for 45 minutes against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium with a broken leg. Reid retired in 2015 after a season with Burnley. Born in England, he was capped 23 times at international level for the Republic of Ireland and scored two goals for them from 2001 to 2008. He was part of their squad at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Steven Reid is a driver of standardbred racehorses in New Zealand. Background Reid began training in 1988 and in that time he has trained winners of: * 27 wins with Les Purdon from 1988-1990. * 60 wins with Tremain Thorby from 1999-2000. * 168 wins with Graeme Rogerson from 2009-2010. * 73 wins with Simon McMullan from 2014-2017. * over 700 wins as a sole trainer (up to the 2020 season). Steven won the NZ Harness Premiership for Training in 1997 and 1998.
