Stephen Pirrie
Stephen Pirrie (born 23 March 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond, St Kilda and Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Pirrie, an Old Xaverian, started his career in the Hawthorn reserves. Both his father, Kevin, as well as his uncle, Richard, had played league football for Hawthorn. His grandfather, Richard Pirrie, had not only played VFL football with Melbourne, but also had played VFA football with Richmond. Unlike his father, Pirrie never broke into the Hawthorn seniors and instead made his VFL debut with Richmond. A defender, he appeared in the final ten games of the 1982 home and away season for Richmond, but wasn't selected for the finals. Having not played a single VFL game in 1983 and after playing the opening round of the 1984 season for Richmond, Pirrie was traded to St Kilda, in return for Jeff Dunne. Old Xaverians Football Club
The Old Xaverians Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Kew, an inner suburb of Melbourne. The club was established in 1923 by alumni of Jesuit school Xavier College in Kew. The club is one of the most successful in the Victorian Amateur Football Association, having won 14 VAFA Premier Section flags, with its first in 1981. It won an unprecedented six premierships in six years between 1995-2000. The OXFC currently fields nine teams in the VAFA competition (seven men's, two women's). It plays senior home games at Toorak Park, Armadale, while the other men's teams are based at Stradbroke Park, Kew. Simon Beasley
Simon Francis Beasley (born 26 July 1956) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Swan Districts Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and for the Footscray Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). A pale and slightly-built full forward, Beasley is the Western Bulldogs' leading career goalkicker and also holds the record for kicking the most goals in the VFL between the years 1980 to 1989. He is also one of two footballers (the other being George Moloney) to have kicked 100 or more goals in a season in both the WAFL and VFL/AFL competitions.
