Stephen Moore, 1st Viscount Mountcashell
Stephen Moore, 1st Viscount Mount Cashell (1696 – 26 February 1766), known as The Lord Kilworth between 1764 and 1766, was an Irish politician. Moore was the son of Richard Moore, of Cashell, County Tipperary, by the Honourable Elizabeth Ponsonby, daughter of William Ponsonby, 1st Viscount Duncannon. He was returned to the Irish House of Commons for County Tipperary in 1738, a seat he held until 1761. In 1764 he was raised to the Peerage of Ireland as Baron Kilworth, of Moore Park in the County of Cork. Two years later he was further honoured when he was made Viscount Mount Cashell, of the City of Cashell, also in the Irish peerage. Lord Mount Cashell married Alicia Colville, daughter of Hugh Colville and Sarah Margetson, and granddaughter of Sir Robert Colville and his third wife Rose Leslie. They had several children. Cashel, County Tipperary
Cashel (; ) is a town in County Tipperary in Ireland. Its population was 4,422 in the 2016 census. The town gives its name to the ecclesiastical province of ''Cashel''. Additionally, the ''cathedra'' of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly was originally in the town prior to the English Reformation. It is part of the parish of Cashel and Rosegreen in the same archdiocese. One of the six cathedrals of the Anglican Bishop of Cashel and Ossory, who currently resides in Kilkenny, is located in the town. Earl Mount Cashell
Earl Mount Cashell, of Cashell, County Tipperary, was a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1781 for Stephen Moore, 2nd Viscount Mount Cashell, who had previously represented Lismore in the Irish House of Commons. He was the eldest surviving son of Stephen Moore, member of the Irish Parliament for County Tipperary, who had been created Baron Kilworth, of Moore Park in the County of Cork, in 1764 and Viscount Mount Cashell, of the City of Cashell, in 1766. These titles were also in the Peerage of Ireland. The first Earl was succeeded by his eldest son, the second Earl. He sat in the House of Lords as an elected Irish Representative Peer from 1815 to 1822. His eldest son, the third Earl, was an Irish Representative Peer from 1826 to 1883. Thomas Maude, 1st Baron de Montalt (c. 1727 – 17 May 1777) was an Anglo-Irish politician.John Debrett, ''Debrett's Peerage of England, Scotland, and Ireland'', Volume 2 (1828), 794. Montalt was the son of Sir Robert Maude, 1st Baronet and Eleanor Cornwallis, daughter of Thomas Cornwallis and Emma Charlton. He succeeded to his father's baronetcy on 4 August 1750. He was elected to the Irish House of Commons as the Member of Parliament for Tipperary in 1761 and sat until 1776. In 1765 Montalt held the office of High Sheriff of Tipperary and was invested as a member of the Privy Council of Ireland in 1768. On 18 July 1776 he was created Baron de Montalt of Hawarden in the Peerage of Ireland. He never married and upon his death his barony became extinct. Nehemiah Donnellan (a.k.a. Fearganainm Ó Domhnalláin) (fl. c. 1560-1609) was Archbishop of Tuam. Background Donellan was born in the county of Galway, a son of Mael Sechlainn Ó Dónalláin, by his wife Sisly, daughter of William Ó Cellaigh of Calla. He was a descendant of Domnallan mac Maelbrigdi. He was entered as Nehemiah Daniel on 13 January 1579-80 at King's College, Cambridge, and shortly afterwards matriculated in the same name. Subsequently, he migrated to Catharine Hall, where he took the degree of B.A. in 1581-2. Career On his return to his native country he acted for some time as coadjutor to William Ó Maolalaidh, archbishop of Tuam, and afterwards, on the recommendation of Thomas, earl of Ormonde, he was appointed the successor of that prelate, by letters patent dated 17 August 1595.
