Stephen McGuinness
Stephen McGuinness (born 2 August 1973) is an Irish former footballer. A centre half, he played schoolboy football for Home Farm and spent his schooldays in Patrician College, Finglas, a school which has produced many Republic of Ireland underage internationals players, and most notably two full international players in Alan Moore (footballer) and Ronnie Whelan. McGuinness made his League of Ireland debut for Home Farm against St James' Gate on 11 October 1992. He joined St Patrick's Athletic in 1997 where he had a very successful four years before joining Dundalk where his stay was to be brief following their relegation in 2002. McGuinness was Liam Buckley's first signing at Shamrock Rovers and in his two seasons he scored 3 times in 30 appearances which included one goal from 2 appearances in the 2002–03 UEFA Cup He made his Rovers debut on 11 July 2002. Stephen Magennis
Stephen "Steo" Magennis is an Irish former footballer who is an assistant coach at Georgia Gwinnett College. Youth & education A native of Dublin, Ireland, Magennis came to the U.S. on a soccer scholarship to Darton State Community College (NJCAA) and completed his Associate of Arts degree (2005–2007). Upon graduating, he transferred to Lander University playing his final two years of eligibility and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science (2007–2009). He later went on to complete his master's degree in Education (Exercise Science) at Lander University (2012–2014). Career Magennis signed as the head coach of the Georgia Revolution FC in 2017. The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Extra.ie FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City from Northern Ireland). PFAI
The Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland (PFAI) is the representative body for professional and semi-professional footballers in Republic of Ireland. Players from all nationalities in the League of Ireland are represented, not just Irish players. It is a member of FIFPro; the international body for similar organisations, and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. The PFAI's current chairman is Brendan Clarke. The highest profile activities of the PFAI is the annual Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards. These winners of these awards are voted for by member players and members cannot vote for one of their clubmates. Paul McGrath is currently the only man to win the award in Ireland and also win the PFA Players' Player of the Year award in England. Oriel Park
Oriel Park is a UEFA Category 2 football stadium located on the Carrickmacross Road in Dundalk, Ireland. The stadium is the home ground of Dundalk Football Club and is owned and operated by the club on land that has been leased from the Casey Family Trust since 1936. The ground has a capacity of 3,100 for European matches (i.e. 3,100 seats) and 4,500 for domestic games (i.e. with the remainder standing). Oriel Park's attendance record is an estimated 18,000, set in 1982 for Dundalk's European Cup Winners' Cup second round tie against Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Usage Oriel Park is primarily used for Dundalk F.C. home matches and training and its facilities are also available for booking. The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from (football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point. The 2002–03 UEFA Cup was the 32nd edition of the UEFA Cup, the second-tier European club football tournament organised by UEFA.
