Stephen M. DuBrul Jr.
Stephen M. DuBrul Jr. (March 18, 1929 – January 4, 2012) was an American businessman who served as Chairman and President of the Export–Import Bank of the United States from 1976 to 1977. DuBrul's father, Stephen M. DuBrul Sr., was an economist for the General Motors Corporation and a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1950, DuBrul served in the Central Intelligence Agency and later the Army Counterintelligence Corps for the Korean War. He then studied business at Harvard University, earning an MBA in 1956. Prior to heading the Export–Import Bank, DuBrul was a partner in Lehman Brothers and Lazard Frères & Co. He died on January 4, 2012, at age 82. Export–Import Bank Of The United States
The Export–Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is the official export credit agency (ECA) of the United States federal government. Operating as a wholly owned federal government corporation, the bank "assists in financing and facilitating U.S. exports of goods and services", particularly when private sector lenders are unable or unwilling to provide financing. Its current chairman and president, Reta Jo Lewis, was confirmed by the Senate on February 9, 2022. The Export-Import Bank was established in 1934 as the Export-Import Bank of Washington by an executive order of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Counterintelligence Corps
The Counter Intelligence Corps (Army CIC) was a World War II and early Cold War intelligence agency within the United States Army consisting of highly trained special agents. Its role was taken over by the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps in 1961 and, in 1967, by the United States Army Intelligence Agency. Its functions are now performed by its modern-day descendant organization; United States Army Counterintelligence. The National Counter Intelligence Corps Association (NCICA), a veterans' association, was established in the years immediately following World War II by Military Intelligence agents who had served in every area of military and domestic operations.
