Stephen Lillie
Stephen Lillie (born 4 February 1966) is a British diplomat who was High Commissioner to Cyprus from 2018 to 2022. Career Lillie was educated at South Wolds Comprehensive School and The Queen's College, Oxford. He joined HM Diplomatic Service in 1988 and was sent for Chinese language training at the School of Oriental and African Studies and the Chinese University of Hong Kong 1989–91. He served in Beijing 1992–96, at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) 1996–99, at Guangzhou as Consul-General 1999–2003, and in New Delhi 2003–06. He was head of the Far Eastern Department at the FCO 2006–09, then ambassador to the Philippines and also non-resident ambassador to Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau 2009–13. He was Director, Asia Pacific, at the FCO 2013–17 and was then appointed to be High Commissioner to the Republic of Cyprus from April 2018. South Wolds Comprehensive School
The South Wolds Academy and Sixth Form (formerly known as South Wolds Community School, and before that, South Wolds Comprehensive) is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status, on Church Drive in Keyworth, Nottingham. It teaches students ages 11–18, and is non-denominational. It was opened in 1967, and has a capacity of 1,114 students, with a current enrolment figure of 820 (as of March 2020). The school converted to an academy on 1 June 2012. Curriculum The academy specialises in languages, and offers French, German, Spanish and formerly offered Japanese, with links to a school in Nagano, Japan. Japanese is the only exception to the vast majority of schools in England. As of September 2015, Southwolds no longer offers Japanese and Italian due to lack of staff. The High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Cyprus is the United Kingdom's foremost diplomatic representative in the Republic of Cyprus. Matthew Kidd (born 27 October 1979) is a freestyle swimmer from Great Britain. Swimming career Matthew competed in the 100 metre freestyle at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, finishing 23rd fastest overall. He combined with the British squad to place 8th in the 4×100 metre medley relay final in a time of 3 minutes 37.77 seconds. His anchor split was 49.14 seconds, marginally slower than his preliminary split time of 49.05 seconds. He won the 2002 and 2004 British Championship in 100 metres freestyle. Asif Ahmad ( bn, আসিফ আনোয়ার আহমেদ; born 21 January 1956) is a banker-turned-diplomat, having served as a Senior Civil Servant at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. From 2017 to August 2021 he was the British High Commissioner to Jamaica. He was the British Ambassador to Thailand from November 2010 until August 2012.
