Stephen Kenny (football)
Stephen Kenny (born 30 October 1971) is an Irish football manager and former player who is currently manager of the Republic of Ireland national football team. He has formerly managed Longford Town, Bohemians, Derry City, Dunfermline Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk and the Republic of Ireland U21 He is one of Ireland's most successful domestic league managers, having won eight trophies with Dundalk. Early life Kenny grew up in Tallaght and lived there for the first 18 years of his life. He attended Our Lady of Loreto Boys National School and Old Bawn Community School. Kenny ran a successful meat-production business in the late 1990s before moving into football management full-time. Dundalk F
Dundalk ( ; ga, Dún Dealgan ), meaning "the fort of Dealgan", is the county town (the administrative centre) of County Louth, Ireland. The town is on the Castletown River, which flows into Dundalk Bay on the east coast of Ireland. It is halfway between Dublin and Belfast, close to the border with Northern Ireland. It is the eighth largest urban area in Ireland, with a population of 39,004 as of the 2016 census. Having been inhabited since the Neolithic period, Dundalk was established as a Norman stronghold in the 12th century following the Norman invasion of Ireland, and became the northernmost outpost of The Pale in the Late Middle Ages. Bohemians, who had just won the domestic league, and Longford Town contested the final. Bohemians won the match 1–0 O' Connor scored the only goal of the game in the 61st minute. Stephen O'Flynn
Stephen O'Flynn (born 27 April 1982 in Mallow, County Cork, Ireland) is an Irish retired footballer who played as a striker. Career League of Ireland O'Flynn was capped for Ireland at under-age levels. He also had spells at Cork City and Limerick when he was younger where he was very impressive at the latter. He then re signed for Cork City in 2004 and played alongside Kevin Doyle, however he was sidelined for most of the season through injury. Following the injury, Stephen signed for Stephen Kenny's Derry City in 2005. The move reignited his career and he weighed in with several goals for Derry City including a winner against IFK Göteborg in the 2006–07 UEFA Cup in August 2006. Sean Hargan
Sean Hargan (born 6 November 1974 in Derry, Northern Ireland) was a veteran defender who played for Derry City and Crusaders, Hargan retired at the end of 2009 with Crusaders. One of the veterans of the Derry City 1996–97 league-winning side, Hargan continued to play an integral part for the Candystripes and had his testimonial year in 2005, before moving to Crusaders at the end of 2008. Hargan is well renowned for his away goal against IFK Göteborg in the UEFA Cup in 2006, which sparked a magical European campaign for the Candystripes culminating in a tie against french giants, Paris Saint Germain. Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg (officially IFK Göteborg Fotboll), commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK (especially locally) or simply Göteborg, is a Swedish professional football club based in Gothenburg. Ski- og Fotballklubben Lyn (lit. "Ski and Football Club Lightning") is a Norwegian alliance sports club from Nordre Aker, Oslo. It has two sections; for association football and Nordic skiing. Peter Hutton (footballer)
Peter Hutton (born 2 March 1973) is a People of Northern Ireland, Northern Irish football coach and former player. A centre back, he spent the majority of his 21 years playing career with Derry City F.C., Derry City, and set a club record of over 670 appearances in the League of Ireland. His father, also named Peter, played for Finn Harps in the 1970s. He spent his youth with Oxford United Stars F.C., Oxford United Stars, Coleraine F.C., Coleraine, and Bradford City A.F.C., Bradford City, before joining Derry City in 1990. Dundalk Football Club ( ; ga, Cumann Peile Dhún Dealgan) is a professional association football club that competes in the League of Ireland Premier Division, the top tier of football in the Republic of Ireland. The club is based in Dundalk and its home ground is Oriel Park.
