Stephen Karopczyc
Stephen Edward Karopczyc (March 5, 1944 – March 12, 1967) was a United States Army officer and a posthumous recipient of the Medal of Honor. He was a 1961 graduate of Chaminade High School, a 1965 graduate of Spring Hill College, then served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He served as a First Lieutenant with Company A, 2d Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment (Take Arms !), 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning). The United States Army Center of Military History (CMH) is a directorate within the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command. The Institute of Heraldry remains within the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army.
