Stephen Freese (born March 16, 1960) is an American Republican politician from Wisconsin. Born in Dubuque, Iowa, he went to high school in Hazel Green, Wisconsin and graduated from University of Wisconsin–Platteville. He served as a town officer and on the Grant County, Wisconsin. Freese served in the Wisconsin State Assembly The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. The Republican Party, also referred to as the GOP ("Grand Old Party"), is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States. The GOP was founded in 1854 by anti-slavery activists who opposed the Kansas–Nebraska Act, which allowed for the potential expansion of chattel slavery into the western territories.
