Stephen Franklin (American Football)
Stephen Franklin (born September 26, 1988) is a former American football linebacker and current coach for Central Missouri. He initially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent following the 2011 NFL Draft. He also played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Jacksonville Jaguars before moving onto the Sioux City Bandits of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL), Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League (IFL), and Kansas City Phantoms of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF). Playing career Franklin began his playing career at North Kansas City High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He played college football for Southern Illinois. The Indoor Football League (IFL) is a professional indoor American football league created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. It has one of the largest number of currently active teams among indoor football leagues. The Colorado Crush were a professional indoor football team. The Crush played its home games at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado, outside Fort Collins. The Crush began play in 2007 as the Colorado Ice, an expansion member of United Indoor Football (UIF) and joined the Indoor Football League as part of the UIF-Intense Football League merger of 2009.
