Stephanie Butler
Stephanie Butler (born 23 April 1994) is an English cricketer who currently captains Staffordshire, as well as playing for North West Thunder. An all-rounder, she is a left-handed batter and right-arm off break bowler. She has previously played for Central Sparks, as well as spending one season with Yorkshire and two seasons as part of the Yorkshire Diamonds squad in the Women's Cricket Super League. Early life Butler was born on 23 April 1994 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Domestic career Butler made her county debut in 2010, for Staffordshire against Scotland. In 2012 she took her best Twenty20 bowling figures, taking 4/9 in a victory over Lancashire. A strong performance in the 2014 Women's County Championship, where she took 12 wickets at an average of 16.08, led to Butler being called up to the England squad for their Test match against India as an injury-replacement for Rebecca Grundy. Women's Cricket Super League
The Women's Cricket Super League (WCSL), known as the Kia Super League (KSL) for sponsorship reasons, was a semi-professional women's Twenty20 cricket competition in England and Wales operated by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The competition featured six franchise teams, partnered with a variety of county teams and boards and universities, and was envisaged as a means to bridge the gap between amateur domestic cricket and the increasingly professional international game. The WCSL launched in 2016, with each team playing five group stage matches in a round-robin format, followed by a finals day; this was increased to ten group matches in 2018, following the ECB abandoning their initial plans to expand the tournament by also incorporating a 50-over competition. 2016 Women's Cricket Super League
The 2016 Women's Cricket Super League, or 2016 Kia Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the first season of the Women's Cricket Super League (WCSL), a semi-professional women's cricket competition in England and Wales. The competition, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), consisted of six franchise teams playing in a Twenty20 format. Each team featured three or four players contracted to the England women's cricket team and three overseas international players. Three teams qualified from the league stage of the competition; the Southern Vipers went directly into the final, while the Loughborough Lightning and Western Storm met in a semi-final. The Southern Vipers became the first WCSL champions, defeating Western Storm by seven wickets in the final. The 2022 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 13th edition of the Women's Twenty20 Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition. It took place in April and May 2022, with 35 teams taking part, organised into eight regional groups. There was no overall winner, with Lancashire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Suffolk, Leicestershire and Rutland, Sussex, Middlesex and Devon winning their individual groups. The 2021 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2021 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 12th cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament, taking place in April and May, with 36 teams taking part: 34 county teams plus Scotland and Wales. There was no overall winner, with Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire, Lancashire, Kent, Gloucestershire and Somerset winning their respective regions. The 2020 tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and, following a restructuring of women's cricket in England that saw the ending of the Women's County Championship, the Twenty20 Cup was the only nationwide tournament featuring county sides in 2021. The 2019 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 23rd cricket Women's County Championship season. It ran from late April to the beginning of June and saw 32 county teams and teams representing Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands compete in a series of divisions. Kent Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division with Yorkshire finishing runners-up. This is the record eighth Championship for Kent. The Middlesex Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Middlesex. They play their home games at various grounds, most commonly at Mill Hill School, and are captained by Naomi Dattani. Rebecca Grundy
Rebecca Louise Grundy (born 12 July 1990) is an English cricketer and coach, who played for her national cricket team and is now head coach of the Western Australia team. Grundy is a left-arm spin bowler. Playing career Grundy has played for Warwickshire. In 2014, Grundy was part of the England Academy squad. Grundy was brought into the England squad for the 2014 ICC Women's World Twenty20 in Bangladesh. On pitches that generally help spin bowlers, Grundy made her England debut in the opening fixture of the tournament and retained her place through all the group matches. The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket.
