Stephan Remmler
Stephan Remmler (born 25 October 1946) is a German singer, composer and producer. He became famous as the lead singer of the German band Trio, alongside Gert Krawinkel, who played the guitar, and Peter Behrens, who played the drums. After the deaths of the other two, Remmler is the only surviving member of Trio. After the split of Trio in 1986, Remmler continued his musical career as solo artist, releasing various singles and albums until 1996. His work contains Schlager and drinking songs as well. His biggest hits were ''Keine Sterne in Athen'' (1986, released in English as ''I don't go to U.S.A.'' in 1987) and ''Alles hat ein Ende (nur die Wurst hat zwei)'' in 1987. His 1990s releases did tend more to rock music. Trio (band)
Trio was a German band also known as ZAM in Europe, formed in the town of Großenkneten in 1979. The band is most known for the 1982 song "Da Da Da" which was a hit in 30 countries worldwide. History Trio consisted of Stephan Remmler (b. 1946), lead vocals and keyboards; Gert "Kralle" Krawinkel (1947–2014), guitar and backing vocals; and Peter Behrens (1947–2016), drums and backing vocals. The band recorded a number of albums, the first of which was '' TRIO'', released in 1981. This album included their signature song, "Da Da Da", the full English title of which is "Da Da Da (I Don't Love You, You Don't Love Me, Aha Aha Aha)". The next album was ''Bye Bye'', released in 1983. ''Bye Bye'' was marketed with many different covers; for example, copies in North America were called ''TRIO and Error'' and featured no artwork. Gert Krawinkel
Gert "Kralle" Krawinkel (21 April 1947 – 16 February 2014) was a German musician, best known as the guitarist of the 1980s pop group Trio. Biography Krawinkel's father was a sailor in his hometown of Wilhelmshaven, Lower Saxony. Krawinkel's music career started in the mid-1960s in nearby Bremerhaven, where he played the guitar in a band called "The Vampyr". He then teamed up with vocalist Stephan Remmler in a Rolling Stones-influenced band called MacBeats (later renamed Just Us). The band was successful in Northern Germany; during its existence, Just Us played a two-week engagement at Star-Club in Hamburg. In 1969, Just Us disbanded and Krawinkel started a new band called Cravinkel with some of its former members, including Remmler. Cravinkel's folk and progressive rock influences did not break them into the mainstream, despite the release of two studio albums. In 1972, after only three years, Cravinkel disbanded. Peter Behrens (musician)
Peter Behrens (4 September 1947 – 11 May 2016) was a German musician and actor, best known as the drummer of the 1980s pop group Trio. Life Peter Behrens was the illegitimate son of an American GI, and was put up for adoption by his biological mother. He was adopted by the Behrens family, where he grew up in northern Germany. After graduating from high school in Jaderberg, he studied at a college nearby, but quit a short while later. Subsequently, he toured as a drummer in several bands, playing throughout northern Germany, and for half a year throughout Africa. In 1971 he played in the Krautrock band Silberbart, who released an album of psychedelic hard rock, now very popular among collectors. Nearing the end of the 1970s, he attended the Milan circus school, and worked briefly as a clown and pantomime artist.
