Stelman Flynn
Stelman Flynn is a Canadians, Canadian politician. He was elected to represent the electoral district (Canada), district of Humber East in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in a 2014 by-election. He is a member of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador, Liberal Party. Before being elected, Flynn served two terms as president of Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador, one of the province's largest industry organizations. Flynn's riding of Humber East was abolished for the 2015 provincial election. He lost the Liberal nomination for the new riding of St. George's-Humber to fellow MHA Scott Reid (Newfoundland and Labrador politician), Scott Reid. Flynn unsuccessfully ran as the Liberal candidate in Humber-Bay of Islands for the 2021 Newfoundland and Labrador general election, 2021 provincial election. Forteau
Forteau is a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The town had a population of 377 as of the Canada 2021 Census. The town is located along Route 510 in Labrador, between L'Anse-au-Clair and L'Anse-au-Loup. There is a health centre, a post office and a variety of shops. 2021 Newfoundland And Labrador General Election
The 2021 Newfoundland and Labrador general election was held on March 25, 2021, to elect members of the 50th General Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador. Under the province's fixed election date law, the vote was tentatively scheduled for October 10, 2023, but a caveat in the law mandates that an election must be held within one year of a new Premier assuming office. Premier Furey assumed the role on August 19, 2020, and requested to Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote to issue the writs of election on January 15, 2021. However, an unexpected COVID-19 surge in the week leading up to the election caused voting to be delayed in the Avalon Peninsula, before all in-person voting was eventually cancelled, delaying the election for every district until March 1, 2021. Humber-Bay of Islands is a provincial electoral district for the House of Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. As of 2015, the district has 13,412 eligible voters. It contains the towns of Irishtown, Hughes Brook, Summerside, Meadows, Gillams, McIvers, Cox's Cove, Mount Moriah, York Harbour, Lark Harbour, and Humber Arm South (Benoit's Cove, Frenchmen's Cove, Halfway Point, and Wood's Island). Scott Reid is a Canadian politician. He was elected to represent the district of St. George's-Stephenville East in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in a 2014 by-election; in the 2015 election, he was re-elected in the new district of St. George's-Humber.
