''Stellastarr'' is the self-titled debut album by American indie rock band Stellastarr. It was released on September 23, 2003. The track "My Coco" appeared on the video game ''MVP Baseball 2004'' and also on the opening credits from the 2011 movie '' Enter Nowhere'' (also known as The Haunting of Black Wood), and on the closing credits of the season 2 finale of the Netflix series Special in 2021. Stellastarr
Stellastarr (styled as stellastarr*) was an American indie rock band based in New York City. Its members were Shawn Christensen (vocals, rhythm guitar), Amanda Tannen (bass, vocals), Arthur Kremer (drums, percussion, keyboards), and Michael Jurin (lead guitar, vocals). History The band was formed in March 2000 from a previous musical effort, the band Ghistor, formed while studying art and design at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. A few years later, after a chance meeting with Jurin, who had recently relocated to Brooklyn and had left his former band Charlotte's Funeral behind in his hometown of Philadelphia, the former classmates reunited, this time with Christensen on vocals. The band was named after an old purple hearse parked in Poughkeepsie, where Christensen grew up. ''Q'' was a popular music magazine published monthly in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1986 by broadcast journalists Mark Ellen and David Hepworth, who were presenters of the BBC television music series ''The Old Grey Whistle Test''. ''NHL 2K8'' is an ice hockey video game made by 2K Sports, and published on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 consoles. It features former Ottawa Senators centre Jason Spezza on its cover. Bob Cole and Harry Neale return from ''NHL 2K6'' and ''NHL 2K7'' to provide commentary. ''Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam'' is a skateboarding video game in the '' Tony Hawk's'' series. The game, named after the level "Downhill Jam" from ''Tony Hawk's Pro Skater'', was published by Activision in 2006 as a timed Nintendo exclusive for the Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and Wii (as a launch title). ''MVP Baseball'' was a baseball game series published by EA Sports, running from 2003 to 2007 with five games produced. In 2003, ''MVP'' became the official successor to EA's long-running ''Triple Play Baseball'' series, and it simulated Major League Baseball from 2003 to 2005. However, an exclusive licensing deal between Major League Baseball and Take-Two Interactive in 2005 prohibited EA Sports from making another MLB game until 2012. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock".
