Steindór Andersen (born 1954) is an Icelandic musician. Steindór is noted for his Rímur chanting and is most widely known for his collaborations with the band Sigur Rós. Other collaborations include with Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson and rapper Erpur Eyvindarson. Jón Steindór Valdimarsson (born 27 June 1958) is an Icelandic politician from Viðreisn. He represented the Southwest constituency in the Parliament of Iceland from 2017 to 2021. He was born in Akureyri Akureyri (, locally ) is a town in northern Iceland. It is Iceland's fifth-largest municipality, after Reykjavík, Hafnarfjörður, Reykjanesbær and Kópavogur, and the largest town outside Iceland's more populated southwest corner. Nicknamed .... Jón Steindór graduated with stúdentspróf from MA-collage in 1978, a law degree from the University of Iceland in 1985 and an MPM from the Department of Engineering at Reykjavik University in 2013.
