Steinar Hansson
Steinar Hansson (31 May 1947 – 3 August 2004) was a Norwegian journalist and publisher. He was born in Asker. He worked as editor in the publishing house Pax Forlag, and edited the newspaper ''Ny Tid'' from 1979. From 1983 he worked for the publishing house J.W. Cappelens Forlag. He was cultural editor for the newspaper ''Arbeiderbladet'', and later for ''Dagbladet''. He was chief editor of ''Arbeiderbladet'' (renamed to ''Dagsavisen'' in 1997) from 1995 to 2001 He was awarded The Great Journalist Prize in 1999. Books *''Operasjon Libanon. Asker
Asker ( no, Asker), properly called Askerbygda in Norwegian, is a district and former Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Akershus, Norway. From 2020 it is part of the larger administrative municipality Asker, Viken (also known as Greater Asker) in Viken (county), Viken county, together with the traditional Buskerud districts Røyken and Hurum; Asker proper constitutes the northern fourth and is part of the Greater Oslo Region. The administrative centre was the town of Asker, which remains so for the new larger municipality. Asker was established as a parish in the Middle Ages and as a municipality Formannskapsdistrikt, on 1 January 1838. Rune Slagstad
Rune Slagstad (born 22 February 1945) is a Norwegian historian, philosopher, legal theorist, professor and journal editor. In addition to professional work, he has since the late 1960s contributed actively to public debate on a variety of issues from Norway. Biography Slagstad was editor of Pax Publishing (1971–1978) and the Norwegian University Press (1986–1989). He has held tenured professorships both at the University of Oslo, the Norwegian Institute for Social Research and Oslo University College and headed The Research Council of Norway Program on Governance and Democracy ("LOS") (1990–1998). He initiated and co-edited the encyclopedia '' PaxLeksikon'' (with i.a. Ingolf Håkon Teigene
Ingolf Håkon Teigene (10 April 1949 – 12 June 2007) was a Norwegian journalist. Teigene hailed from Hareid. He started his career as a journalist, and was editor-in-chief of ''Ny Tid'' from 1982 to 1986, at that time a newspaper owned by the Socialist Left Party. He also worked in ''Dagbladet''. Teigene then became known to the general public as a news presenter, anchoring in Dagsrevyen ''Dagsrevyen'' (English: ''The Daily Review'') is the daily evening news programme for the Norwegian television channel NRK1, the main channel of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), broadcast at 19:00. In 2007, the programme started air ... in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. He appeared in this role for the first time in 1989. He also headed Sommeråpent and other programs. Pax Forlag is a Norwegian publishing house, established in 1964. The first manager was Tor Bjerkmann, who chaired the company from 1964 to 1972. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. is the largest Norwegian biographical encyclopedia. The first edition (NBL1) was issued between 1921 and 1983, including 19 volumes and 5,100 articles.
