Rand Steiger
Rand Steiger (born June 18, 1957, in New York City) is an American composer, conductor, and pedagogue. Steiger attended the Manhattan School of Music and the California Institute of the Arts, where he became a faculty member in 1982. In 1987, he joined the faculty of the University of California, San Diego, where he served as chair of the music department from 2006 to 2009. At UCSD, Steiger was instrumental in overseeing the planning, development, and building of the music school's acclaimed Conrad Prebys Music Center. In 2009, he was visiting professor in the music department at Harvard University. Heidi "Pepper" Steiger is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Nicky Whelan. The character was introduced into the serial as part of a group of four characters branded as "20 somethings". She made her debut in the episode broadcast on 12 October 2006. Paul Steiger (born August 15, 1942) is an American journalist who served as managing editor of ''The Wall Street Journal'' from 1991 until May 15, 2007. After that, he was the founding editor-in-chief, CEO and president of ProPublica from 2008 through 2012. Steiger was born in the Bronx to a Catholic family and grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, and Princeton, New Jersey. Otto Steiger (12 December 1938 – 17 January 2008) was a German economist and professor at the University of Bremen. Biography Steiger was born on 12 December 1938 in Dresden, Germany. He spent his childhood on his parents' farming estate in Döschütz (a locality of Großweitzschen since 1994), office captaincy of Döbeln, Saxony, which was expropriated immediately after the war. In Göttingen he attended the from 1949 to 1958 and studied economics and economic history at the Free University of Berlin and at the University of Uppsala from 1958 to 1964. In 1973 he became professor of general economic theory with a focus on monetary theory and macroeconomics at the University of Bremen. Lieuwe Steiger (born in Haarlem, 15 April 1924 – died in Eindhoven, 17 October 2006) was a Dutch people, Dutch football (soccer), football goalkeeper.
