Stefano Rossini (born 2 February 1971) is an Italian Association football, football manager and former player, who played as a Defender (association football), defender for numerous Italian clubs throughout his career. He is the manager of Serie D club Vigor Carpaneto. Club career Parma & Inter Rossini started his career at Parma F.C., Parma, who were at that time in Serie B. He joined Italian giant F.C. Internazionale Milano, Internazionale in summer 1989, but after a poor season, he left for ACF Fiorentina, AC Fiorentina. He made no appearance for ''La Viola'' and left for his mother club Parma in November 1990 for their first ever Serie A season. The ("Italy Cup") is an annual knockout cup competition in Italian football organized by the FIGC until the 2009–10 season and the Lega Serie A ever since. History The beginning of the tournament was turbulent, due to the complexity of the participation of the teams in the tournament, since its inception in 1921, the Italian championship was divided into two groups. On the one hand the CCI Championship (Italian Football Confederation) and on the other the FIGC championship ( Italian Football Federation). The football competition at the 1992 Summer Olympics featured 16 national sides from the six continental confederations. The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four and each group played a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the gold medal match at Camp Nou on 8 August 1992. For the first time, an age limit has been set for participants under the age of 23, which has been used ever since. Spain became the first host country to win the gold medal in an Olympic football tournament since Belgium in 1920, an achievement which would not be repeated again until Brazil won it in 2016. The Italy national under-21 football team is the national under-21 football team of Italy and is controlled by the Italian Football Federation. The team competes in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, held every two years. Italy (along with Spain) is the most successful nation in the history of the competition, with five Championships won (1992, 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2004). Italy has also been twice runner-up of the competition, in 1986 and 2013.
