Stefano Gentile
Stefano Gentile (born 20 September 1989) is an Italian professional basketball player for Dinamo Sassari of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). At a height of 1.91 m (6'3") tall, he plays at the point guard position. Professional career Gentile started his club career at his father Nando's last team, Juvecaserta Basket, in the LegaDue (Italian 2nd Division). He then went to Andrea Costa Imola, of the same division, where his father was the head coach. With Andrea Costa Imola, he caught the eye of Serie A (Italian first division) side Armani Jeans Milano, a club in which his father had previously been a star player. With Milano, he played in the Italian first division, and also the European-wide top-tier level EuroLeague. Polisportiva Dinamo, commonly known as Dinamo Sassari and currently known as Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari for sponsorship reasons, is an Italian professional basketball club that is based in Sassari, Sardinia. The Lega Basket All Star Game, also commonly known as the Italian Basketball All-Star Game, is an all-star game that organised annually by the Lega Basket, in conjunction with RCS Sport and the Italian Basketball Federation. Stefano "Pino" Sacripanti (born 15 May 1970 in Cantù, Italy) is an Italian professional basketball coach. Coaching career He is the coach of the Italian men's national under-20 basketball team since 2006, and led them to the bronze medal at the 2007 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, the silver medal at the 2011 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship and the gold medal at the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. European Professional Club Basketball System
Professional basketball clubs in Europe can compete in a number of different competitions, including national leagues, regional (multi-national) leagues, and continental competitions. Ferdinando Gentile, commonly known as Nando Gentile (born 1 January 1967), is an Italian former professional basketball player and coach. Playing as a point guard, Gentile had a successful pro club playing career, amassing a slew of team trophies won in Italy and Greece, including the EuroLeague title.
