Stefanie Reid
Stefanie McLeod Reid (born 26 October 1984) is a track and field paralympian who competes for Great Britain, competing mainly in category T44 long jump and sprint events. A multiple medal winner at European and world level, she won a bronze medal in the 200m at the 2008 Summer Paralympics and silver in the long jump at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Reid was also a semi-finalist on ''Celebrity MasterChef'' in 2018 and was a quarter-finalist on the fourteenth series of ''Dancing on Ice''. Personal history Reid was born in New Zealand to British parents; her father is Scottish and her mother is English. The family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada when she was aged 4. Reid lost her right foot in a boating accident, aged 16. Her life was saved by a surgeon in Toronto who amputated her right leg below the knee. Dancing On Ice (series 14)
The fourteenth series of ''Dancing on Ice'' began airing on ITV on 16 January 2022. During the finale of the thirteenth series, it was announced that ''Dancing on Ice'' had been renewed for another series. The series was once again filmed in the purpose-built studio at Bovingdon Airfield, which was set up for the tenth series. Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returned as the hosts. Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill and Ashley Banjo returned as judges for their fifth series, whilst it was announced on 3 October 2021, that John Barrowman would not be returning to the judging panel. In December, ''Strictly Come Dancing'' professional Oti Mabuse was confirmed as Barrowman's replacement. Arlene Phillips also joined the panel as a guest judge for Musicals Week on 20 February. ''MasterChef'' is a competitive cooking reality show produced by Endemol Shine UK and Banijay and broadcast in 60 countries around the world. In the UK, it is produced by the BBC. The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". 2014 IPC Athletics European Championships
The 2014 IPC Athletics European Championships was a track and field competition for athletes with a disability open to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) affiliated countries within Europe, plus Azerbaijan and Israel. It was held in Swansea, Wales and lasted from 18 to 23 August. The competition was staged at Swansea University Stadium. Approximately 550 athletes from 37 countries attended the games. Russia won the Games atop the medal table with 41 Gold medals, and also collected the greatest overall medal haul with 88. The host nation, Britain, finished third. Of the 37 competing nations, 34 managed to achieve a podium finish. There were seven world records set and a further seven European records, in a games that was beset by difficult weather conditions throughout the tournament. The World Para Athletics European Championships (''European Para Athletics Championships''), known prior to 2018 as the IPC Athletics European Championships is an event organized by World Para Athletics, the international athletics federation established under the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2016.
