Stefan Zeniuk
Stefan Zeniuk is a New York City based musician and filmmaker. Often seen performing on the saxophones, clarinet, and bass clarinet he is noted for his stage presence. He currently heads up Gato Loco, and is also a member of Maxim Bass with Ron Anderson and Glenn Johnson. An interpreter of Latin music, Zeniuk was often seen performing with such notables as baritone/slide guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Clifton Hyde as well as low brass virtuoso Joe Exley (tuba) and his long-standing band Gato Loco. He occasionally performs with the band Tinpan. He also featured on the ''Secret Curve'' album by PAK. Clarinet
The clarinet is a musical instrument in the woodwind family. The instrument has a nearly cylindrical bore and a flared bell, and uses a single reed to produce sound. Clarinets comprise a family of instruments of differing sizes and pitches. Bass Clarinet
The bass clarinet is a musical instrument of the clarinet family. Like the more common soprano B clarinet, it is usually pitched in B (meaning it is a transposing instrument on which a written C sounds as B), but it plays notes an octave below the soprano B clarinet. Bass clarinets in other keys, notably C and A, also exist, but are very rare (in contrast to the regular A clarinet, which is quite common in classical music). Bass clarinets regularly perform in orchestras, wind ensembles and concert bands, and occasionally in marching bands, and play an occasional solo role in contemporary music and jazz in particular. Gato Loco is a New York City based band formed in 2006 by Stefan Zeniuk & formerly produced/conducted by Clifton Hyde. Gato Loco CocoNino has been positively reviewed by the press. Ron Anderson (musician)
Ron Anderson (born 1959) is a New York City-based internationally known musician and composer. He is known for collaborations with many famous musicians, and has a large catalog of releases and compositions. History Anderson formed the group Rat At Rat R in Philadelphia in 1980. Anderson then moved to New York City in the early 1980s, where he recorded music for NPR as well as museum pieces. In 1989 he moved to California, where he formed The Molecules. In 1998 he moved to Switzerland, returning to the New York City in 1999, where he formed PAK. Projects Molecules Ron's first project was a band called The Molecules, who has a number of releases. A retrospective, ''Friends'', received positive reviews. PAK Ron's current project is called PAK, which first released, ''Motel''. Clifton Hyde
Clifton Hyde (born November 27, 1976) is an American multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer currently working from and residing in Nashville. He has composed multiple film scores and is a frequent collaborator of filmmaker Miles Doleac. Hyde has composed scores for The Hollow (2016 film), Demons (2017 film), “Two Birds”, “Handsome”, "Hallowed Ground", & "Demigod". In his feature film debut, Sona Jain's "For Real"; Clifton performed as pianist for composer/tabla player, Zakir Hussain. His piano and steel guitar can be heard on the feature film, "Sun Dogs". PAK (band)
PAK is an American, New York City based, band. They are signed to John Zorn's Tzadik label. PAK was originally formed by Ron Anderson in 2000, after he spent some time with The Molecules. The original line-up consisted of Anderson, Jesse Krakow, Will Redmond, and Race Age. This line-up released the album ''100% Human Hair''. In 2003, Race Age was replaced by Kim Abrams, Redmond left the group, and that version released Motel, which was well received. This version of the group also performed at the Bowery Poetry Club with Jac Berrocal. In 2007, Anderson reconfigured the group, switching from guitar to bass, and recruiting Tim Byrnes on various instruments. This version of the group toured Europe (as a duo, with Abrams and Anderson along with occasional guest musicians), and is currently working on their next release. Improv Everywhere
Improv Everywhere (often abbreviated IE) is a comedic performance art group based in New York City, formed in 2001 by Charlie Todd. Its slogan is "We Cause Scenes". The group carries out pranks, which they call "missions", in public places. The stated goal of these missions is to cause scenes of "chaos and joy." Some of the group's missions use hundreds or even thousands of performers and are similar to flash mobs, while other missions utilize only a handful of performers. Improv Everywhere has stated that they do not identify their work with the term flash mob, in part because the group was created two years prior to the flash mob trend, and the group has an apolitical nature. While Improv Everywhere was created years before YouTube, the group has grown in notoriety since joining the site in April 2006.
