Stefan Meyer (ice Hockey)
Stefan Meyer (born July 20, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames. Playing career Meyer grew up in the small village of Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. He played his early years of minor hockey in the neighbouring community of Richmound, Saskatchewan. He was a noticeable talent throughout his minor hockey career in Richmound, where he played alongside future Medicine Hat Tigers teammate goaltender Matt Keetley. Later, Meyer attended school in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, where he played for the Notre Dame Hounds at the Bantam AAA and Midget AAA levels. While attending school at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, Meyer was roommates with current NHL Defenceman Braydon Coburn. Athol Murray College Of Notre Dame
Athol Murray College of Notre Dame is a private, co-educational boarding high school located in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was founded by the Sisters of Charity of St. Louis in 1920 as St. Augustine school when they established Notre Dame of the Prairies Convent. The school was later renamed to honor Father Athol Murray. Steven Reinprecht
Steven Edward Reinprecht (born May 7, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. Undrafted into the NHL, he was signed as a free agent following his NCAA career with the Wisconsin Badgers by the Los Angeles Kings. During his rookie season, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche and went on to win a Stanley Cup championship that year with the team. Reinprecht has additionally played for the Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes and Florida Panthers. Later, he took his game to the German DEL. Representing the Canadian national team, he won gold at the 2003 World Championships. He typically played at the centre position and was known for his two-way versatility. The Arizona Coyotes are a professional ice hockey team based in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The 2003 NHL Entry Draft was the 41st NHL Entry Draft. It was held at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tennessee on June 21 and 22, 2003. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was selected first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins. This was only the third time a goalie was selected first overall in the draft, after Michel Plasse in 1968 and Rick DiPietro in 2000. Eric Staal was selected second, by the Carolina Hurricanes, and Nathan Horton was the third selection, by the Florida Panthers. The Kelowna Rockets are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The Rockets play in the Western Hockey League (WHL), out of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). The Memorial Cup () is the national championship of the Canadian Hockey League, a consortium of three major junior ice hockey leagues operating in Canada and parts of the United States. It is a four-team round-robin tournament played between the champions of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and Western Hockey League (WHL), and a fourth, hosting team, which alternates between the three leagues annually.
